My husband is a "bugman", no, not half bug, half man, but rather a pest control technician. When his clients tell him that they have fleas in there homes, he will tell then to buy a cheap flea collar (for dogs, they're stronger) and drop it in the vacuum cleaner bag, the next time you vacuum, it picks up the fleas and the eggs, it will kill off any live fleas and the eggs when they hatch. That should help any flea problem in your home.

Give your pet a bath in dawn dish-washing liquid the fleas die quickly. Also mix some in a sprayer to spray infested area`s they die to.

This is a great idea. I had a very thick pile carpet, & my husband was always concerned about the fleas that maybe harbvoured there. We got rid of a lot of our carpet, but there is still some in the bedrooms.
Your hubbies idea is very good.
