carseats question

hey everyone, how are we all today...
im asking this for a favour for my sister, her daughter turns 4 in january and she still in a carseat, what age should she take her out of the carseat? and does she have to use a booster or something?

Well, now a days, it doesn't matter what the age is. It's all about the weight. THey have car seats up to 80lbs.

So, with that said, even a 6 year old should be in a car seat.

It depends on what it says about this in Australian law. In the UK we have a new law that says children should be in child seats (or booster seats I guess) until the age of 12 or until they reach the height of 4 foot 5. So if your laws are similar, your neice will be in some kind of child seat for a while yet! I'm not sure at what age it's safe for them to use a booster seat rather than a carseat.
I've just noticed that your post is 11 months old, so you've probably found out all this by now! Hope so anyway, lol!

thanks yeah theres new laws just come in and looks like she will be in a carseat for a while, i think carseats are much safer than booster seats anyway.
