What is the traffic like in your area & city?

The traffic in my street is very quiet. Once I get out onto some of the semi-main roads it can get very busy.
On the major roads, in peak traffic, it is terrible. So congested, very slow, accidents abound, & in winter if there is fof or rain, it really slows us down. I take my daughter to school most mornings, & for a 25 minute drive, this can sometimes take 40 minutes. Some of the roads are deadlocked.
So what is the traffic like in your area & your city?

Its not that traffic here in our city yet, its not like th major cities that would take a long long ride because of traffic even if its just a kilometer away. But in cases like these we should be very wise in not going to streets which are congested at peak hours coz it only watse our time and energy.

Well, yes, thats true. Peak time can be a waste of energy. Sometimes I have no choice though.

My area has traffic jams during rush hour, which is when people are going to work or just getting off of work. This usually lasts for 2 hours, but can be longer, if there is an accident. The problem is getting worse, as more people driving and no more roads are being built.

This sounds similar to us. Rush hour tends to be two hours, both morning & night.

the traffic here in the city i live in is like a peacefull traffic though this is just a small city but then it complete of everything unlike the other small cities outside from us. our traffic is not the same as those in the big city. though i know when it comes to traffic people will get mad at it but our is minimal then the others out there. if you know the other way to go or the shortcuts then good for you but if you do not know then bad for you. laugh out loud.

these days, the road here are in repairing,so it is nomal that there is a taffic jam.

The most common time that I experience a traffic jam is when I am taking my daughter to school.

I live in a small town, 14,000, with only about 28,000 in the entire county. Traffic is very moderate. I would have to drive an hour to reach a city busy enough to have traffic problems. I really appreciate where I live.

I live roughly 15 miles from downtown Minneapolis Minnesota USA. The stree we live on is a somewaht main drag for rush hour traffic to avoid the congested highways. As I don't work I don't have to deal with rush hour traffic. My wife rides the busses so she is all right also. The worst traffic I face is at nights when I get my wife from work and there was a professional sports game of some type and the game is leting out recently. Traffic here in Minneapolis is pretty bad though during rush hour. Thankfully I don't travel during the rush hour times.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Well, of course first thing in the morning, around 7am to 9am, traffic is pretty heavy. And it gets even more busy from around 4pm to 6pm, when everyone is headed home. But for the most part, it is fine. Having traveled quite a bit in previous years, I think that traffic here is a lot better than most big or medium sized cities. At least in the United States.

I live in the state of florida and the traffic is horrendous. there is no such thing as a simple trip to a convenience store. No one wants to let you out,the drivers are maniacs. That's one reason why i hate florida ,lol

Traffic on my road.... HAHAHA
There are about 10 cars on a busy day and they are all of the people that live on my road. There are 6 houses. Occasionally there is a strange vehicle. That generally means Jehovah Witnesses.
Once you get off my dirt road (which is still legally labelled a logging road) and on to the pavement there could be maybe 50 cars a day and most of those are locals. I live about 30 minutes from any town. The closest thing we have is a community of about 1500 called Athens-lovely little town and if you want a relaxing vacation in the country you should go there!
There would not ever be any traffic jams in my area unless you get stuck behind a tractor lolol-which I guess happens often enough considering how about 50 familys in the area own at least 1 tractor.

The traffic here in our city is very busy specially during peak hours. In the morning when people are on their way to work or school and in the afternoon when they go home the there's heavy traffic almost everywhere you pass. :-)

I just moved out of a city that's just like that and I hated it with a passion but hubby was in the army, now retired, and we had to live near the base. My home town has gotten much worse in the past 16 years that I've been away and wouldn't dream of going back there for no amount of money. I LOVE where I am now because there's hardly any traffic even in town there's hardly any. Everybody respects everybody and doesn't pull out in front of others but rather wait til they've passed then pull out. No body seems to be in any hurry which is the kind of life style we wanted. Slow and easy going.

Thank you and I do too because it's what we've wanted for a long time and now we've finally found it. I can't stand the hussle and bussle of the city or even a small one so this place is perfect. Maybe some day you can find a place just as peaceful as this place is. I hope you do!

Here in Sydney the traffic is absolutely dreadful. Peak hours are so conjested a 20 minute drive can take and has taken me up to nearly 2 hours.(Late for work again).
I live in a pretty quiet street now but before moving here I lived on a main road and the road was on route to a motorway. There was heavy trucks and so forth.
The noise was so unbearable sometimes, that I didn't open windows or doors because of the noise, not to mention the dust the house accumalated. I am so glad to have moved away from that street.

The traffic where I live is very quiet too, and in the town due to road renewal they have congested it, but the probelms start on the high way, as there are daily congestitions, and netherlands is suffering terribly with this problem. I am glad that I don't work any more, but still when i have to go to Amsterdam it's like road to hell, and instead of being there in less than an hour it takes several hours now.

Major thoroughfares in my area are always busy - traffic is heavy. The reason, I believe, is that the streets were over a hundred years old and needs widening. Also, drivers of public utility jeepneys, the so-called "King of the Road", simply steps on their brakes when a passenger wants to alight. This character of jeepney drivers, even bus and taxi drivers, needs rehabilitation because they block the road for other drivers. In other words, drivers in my country needs to be disciplined. We also need to upgrade our road network.
