family history

Hi there. Yes I am interested in family geneology, actually every person of my culture each hold there family history secred and close to them, as this is an important part of knowing who we are and where we come from, as well as how and what lands you are connected too, I can go as far back to my great, great, great, great grandfather and grandmother on both my parents sides... When the times right, this knowledge will also be handed down to my children, so they know there family history and who they are, where they are connected, who and where they belong...

Yes I am interested to know my family's history. Yup me too I could only go up as far as the name of my grand parents. I like to pursue this one day and make our family tree as complete as possible, I think its nice to have one for our children or the next family's generation to see. :-)

I only know the names of my grandparents. My cousin keeps the family tree on my father's side and it goes back several generations. I don't know about my mother's side. I'm sure that I could find out but past my great-grandparents it's very hard because of slavery that information is not known.
