My Favourite Things..............

For some unknown reason I woke up this morning with this song on my mind. You know the one.........
"Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favourite things"
So it got me thinking that it might make a nice, fun discussion to ask my fellow myLotters - what are your favourite things? They don't have to be big, earth-shattering things, and you don't have to put them in rhyme and sing them either - LOL! Just tell me 2 or 3 simple, everyday things that make you smile and make you feel better. And to start off - mine would be.....
1) Cats and kittens - just to see them play or hear them purr makes me smile and relax:-))
2) Snow - makes me feel like a child again and I want to go out and make snowballs and build snowmen!
3) Picking fresh flowers from my garden and filling my house with them:-))
OK - now it's your turn!

well 3 things that would make me smile and feel better would be 1.my beautiful family,2.putting a smile on some elses face,3.my new addition to my family,yukon the cat.

Some of my favorite things are waking up beside my Sweetie and feeling grateful for another day of life with the love of my life. Then opening the door and having our five cats troop in for their morning snuggle. Hugs and snuggles...for sure one of my favorite things.
Lighting scented candles and sitting listening to music or meditating and counting my blessing.
Freshly brewed coffee with flavored creamer
Going out in the garden early in the morning when the day is just waking up. Birds singing, dew on the plants, fresh scent of flowers...then picking berries for breakfast.
Chatting on the phone with favorite gal pals and laughing at goofy things

Being in my own home gives me joy. The perfume from flowers in my garden, watching the sun come up everyday from my verandah while having a coffee. My pets; dog, cat and goat happy to see me. (I love when the goat's tail twitches madly when he's bleating and I come to him) I love when they are happy and pleased to see me. Standing in the rain at sundown when it hasn't rained for weeks/months and getting soaked.....gee Rosie, I could go on and on.

Cats, well duh.... I was getting kisses from my Oliver who will be 2 in a month from today!Rainbows - each one is like a new world - maybe I too can fly over one & get to Oz! Or find the pot of gold!Learning new things, going to new places - not such a simple thing, but really it doesn't take much to make me happy.

Awww - Oliver is very cute! I actually got my first kiss from Clarence (my latest adopted stray cat) today - it made me feel really good!! Thanks for your answer.

Hi rosie, my favourite things, let me see, certainly when my cats come round to talk to me, to show their love and affection. It makes me feel loved and wanted, I just get a warm feeling within me. When I awake in the morning to a beautiful sunny day, When my children call just to say hello, The feeling of my wife's arms around me, the contentment that comes from a task well done, feeling at peace as I drift off to sleep at night. Hi Rosie, for me the cats come on place number 1 too ;)
Than there is my car, as I am crazy about her and pemper her very often ;) and have gioven he the name Tota ;)
And 3 some of my gems and minerals, love touching these when in need of energy ;)
