Yes, Apple has an announcement on Tuesday. I think it will be the new generation of iPods. You can bet it will be good. I personally think the new iPod will be a lot like the iPhone, I mean the have the technology so use it. But it will not be a phone and it will have a ton of storage. On my wish list - I would like to see a built in FM receiver and it should have Flash memory...get rid of those moving parts in the hard drive. I would also like to see at a reasonable price headphones for it with a separate volume adjustment for the right and left ears. I am just about deaf in one ear and to hear in that hear will just cause hearing loss in the other. What do you want to see in the next generation of iPods??? I have had my iPod about 2 1/2 years and never a problem with it.

I am sooo behind the times. I have never had an ipod. I keep waiting thinking it will be cheaper, affordable enough for even me. But even my mom has one, LOL! With them changing, I could buy one this year and the next year it would be outdated. Doesn't mean I don't want one though. : )

They come out new every year. Mine is 2 generations behind, but I am don't care..I really don't want to watch movies on a 2 1/2 screen or whatever it is. It works great and I love it, I have all of my CDs on it and I got speakers for the house, got rid of the big stereo...free up space, no CD mess and my music is always available..the way I want to hear it.

Sounds like my dream come true. I've looked for used ones, but no one wants to get rid of theirs! LOL

Actually, I've got an iPod Shuffle (2005 model) that I'm looking to get rid of. Quite nice, and it can double as a USB flash memory stick, too!

It seems that Apple is always looking to improve and add new features that weren't on the iPods before. What I like is that they've got an iPod for different kinds of users - the Shuffle (and perhaps the Nano) for those who don't want to be "weighed down" by the full-size iPod...to those who like to use the video function. Anyway...I digress a bit. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

I love all the music I can fit on mine...we drove 1/2 way across country and back and never heard the same song twice. We used the FM transmitter to hear the music on my car radio. We did not have CDs all over the car, no fumbling for looking for radio stations, be have portable speakers and got to listen to music of our choice in our hotel room as well. There are so many reasons to love an iPod and you are right..the models are so varied..that there is one for every one.
