That would have been my mom, not me, LOL. Amazingly enough tho, my hubby seems to have an awesome talent for it. I asked him if he thought he would like to go to a culinary school, but that is not his desire at all LOL.

i wouldnt say I know the artof cooking but I can cook anything and people enjoy it. I try different ways in preparing things and ask close family and friends and they love it. My favourite is preparing post roasted pork. Cooking is something we learnt from achild and practiced. Here in Jamaica just the lazy ones cant cook but these things are taught at home at an early age. practice makes perfect. So if you practice it will come naturally although I am a natural cook. The women in my family are and we sometimes prepare things and ask each other what they think about it.

Defintely cooking is a art and when we do it with involvement the dishes taste better. My mom too cooks so well..she can prepare any dish and learned many dishes herself.I wonder how everything she prepares taste good and she doesnt taste for taste while preparing as she says she knows quiet well that this content is enough to add taste and aroma to food.More over experiance in cooking does matter a lot whereas people like me who knows little of cooking struggle sometimes confusing which ingredients to add and lots more..

My husband knows the art of cooking and is a true chef. He can make something delicious out of a few ingredients without putting much effort into it. I, on the other hand, have to use recipes unless I am making something I have made a hundred times before. I am not comfortable with creating my own recipes. Maybe if I took a culinary art class or two that would change - will have to consider that.

Hi there. Without bragging, I think Im an artist when it comes to cooking, I can make anything taste great without a recipe book, just as long as I have herbs, spices, salt, garlic and onions for basic ingredients... This is what my mom use to say, "Its the art of knowing how to cook, that goes along way" and she would make the most filling and tasty dishes out of anything she got her hands on, I think I followed her in that sense... It really helps if you know the tastes of herbs and spices, and what mixes and what does'nt...

Hi, i think i can cook well, thats what others say. But i think anyone can cook, and its not a gift that a few have . Agreed some are really gifted and are able to cook without any help or recipes adn dont need much time to cook up yummy things in a jiffy. Beside those kind of people a normal person can also learn how to cook, but there are a few things that i feel they can take caere before that. Just cooking a normal day to day meal too needs to be done properly and for that i think a person needs to be totally focused, and concentrate fully in your work. I have seen many people who do cook but their mind is elsewhere and they are just working echanically. You need to be fully involved, to feel the food that you are making to ensure that what you are doing, you do to perfection, to ensure that this is what your family will be eating so it better be good and after the meal is cooked, taste it, amend the salt and peppers in it , make it delicious and like its the best meal you have ever made. I say this as i have sen many people just cook food for the heck of cooking i, they dont do so with interest, and that shows in the food they make, either it wont be ood or the people will comment on it. But if you are focused and concentrate, you can easily cook up a normal good meal too, that people will easily appreciate.

Healthy cooking is the art of life. Our ability to think clearly and act positively is the result of our physical and mental health, which is based on the foods we prepare and eat. "Cooking is at once child's play and adult joy. And cooking done with care is an act of love." "Cooking is an art and patience a virtue... Careful shopping, fresh ingredients and an unhurried approach are nearly all you need. There is one more thing - love. Love for food and love for those you invite to your table. With a combination of these things you can be an artist."

I love to cook so i love this topic. Cooking is both a science and an art. Some things will go together and will always have a certain reaction just like a science experiment. But there are so many different that make things look good and taste good that have to do with opinion so its an art too. I think you are right some people just have a feeling for food and some people just don't. I love to cook and want to be a chef. The thing i like about food is that you can manipulate it. so even when something does not turn out the way you wanted it, chances are you can fix it and still make it a great meal.
