learning to love vs. being in love

So which is it? Is there always that one person that will always have your heart that you just have to find? Or do you marry someone you are compatible with and then learn to love them because you have no other choice? I think it is a little bit of both. I think there has to be something (beyond physical) that attracts two people but love is more than that. They have to learn how to deal with and cater to each other. Well what do you all think?
