Do you smoke in the parking church?

I have done it along with the preacher at one church. As long as it's not in the church, it's not really a deal to many.

Well, she was sitting in the van, not standing out there dropping ashes and extinguishing butts on the parking lot. A lot of people would wait until they were out of sight of the church to light up, but mostly because they don't want other church members to see them smoke. Thats hypocrisy. There are a lot of vices and sins you can't see from the outside, and so no church members will object to that well-dressed, seemingly perfect person occupying a pew. But we all have things we can hide so we look better on the outside. A church is supposed to welcome all who wish to worship. To consider a smoker worse because you can see his vice, is not a Christian attitude. We also shouldn't be afraid to be ourselves. Anyone who smokes and litters the parking lot is rude. Anyone who drinks a can of soda and litters the parking lot is rude. Smoking is not worse.

we attend church weekly and have seen some people smoke on church property. i really dont have a problem with it because if they want to wreck their bodies, its up to them.

I have never read anywhere in the bible that smokeing is a sin,its not what goes into your mot=uth its what comes out that counts. the place of worship is inside the church not the parking lot. I think if someone wants to smoke in there car it is there business.

yeah i agree with rollo..smoking is a type of sin, but, isn't church a place where someone can come to confess their sins and such? unless there are rules against it, it's up to the person whether or not they do it. now being a smoker myself, sometimes i feel weird smoking in front of religious or conservative type people so i tend to refrain lest i get shunned or asked about it. maybe your grandma was just trying to avoid dirty looks or unwanted comments.

Catholic priests are alowed to smoke. I think smoking is a sin to some people and some churches but your friend is not a member of the church so she does not feel what she does. I also feel she did not know what did wrong. It does not give her excuses for what she did. Did you by any chance ask her not to smoke? She may not have known how uncomfortable you where.

I am a nonsmoker, and I see people smoking in church parking lots from time to time. I think it is disrespectful and impolite. I wish people would go smoke somewhere else.

Yes,in my opinion,smoking in the church is disrespectful and people should not smoke in front of the church.

I personally do not see a problem with that, it is one thing if she was smoking in the actual church but it was just in the parking lot. I do not think it is disrespectful in the least.

No i do not smoke. it is not good to smoke either outside the church or anywhere visible to the crowd or to the people unknown to you. you can smoek if you like but for me it is better to smoke by yourself or with your friends in a private ora place wherein people will not even care for as long as it is not retricted to that thing. yeah it is much better to smoke in your house or at your house then in the church or on the ground of the church. i think were old enough and we know whats right and wrong so if you have a right thinking than there is no need to tell you or remind you about the wrongs things you are doing.

I'm a smoker. I dislike that people smoke in the churchs itself, but outside i don't care. People must know that for there own.

I have smoked in a church parking lot, but it was at a church that had a big parking lot and a small parking lot and I was in the big parking lot away from the church. I don't think there is anything wrong with it as long as you are away from the building or sitting in your car. But that's just my opinion. Especially if you want to smoke in between services. I mean, why would you drive away from the church to smoke and then drive back? I think that would be pointless.

I dont see why smoking in your van is wrong in your eyes,,its not like you were standing beside people blowing the smoke in there faces,, or throwing bud on the ground..but everyone has there own belief..and if u dont feel comfy doing it there thats your God given right..and i say if soemone wants to smoke..let them..God doesnt care who you are and what your bad habboits are..he just wants us to love him and remember him..well thats my opinion..:)
