do you have a health problem recently or a chronic disease or disorder now?

health is wealth. its one of the essentila part of - when we were young we work hard to earn wealth but when we become old then we work harder to restore back our health. this is my quote when it regards to health. health is essential for everyone. unhealthy people die consequently if they maintain their body as such.

i am only 20 years old now and i feel sad because i am diagnose with primary hypertension 2 years ago. if my blood pressure rises unexpectedly, i feel my hearts increase its beat rapidly and my lower back pain sores. i feel my body is rigid sometimes. that's why at this age i have my own maintenance drug which is captopril. it really saves my life whenever i get mad or i am in a stressful situation since this factors trigger my blod pressure to shoot up. how about you, do you have any condition at all recently or chronically being treated. what is it? and how do you treat or alleviate it?

I found out I had problems with my pressure when I was 19 and now that I am 36 the problem is much more severe . I am on two different types of pressure medication and take beta blockers and aspirin everyday and have Nitro in case it gets to bad . They want to run some tests as they think I may have already taken a heart attack in the last couple of years . In the last three years they found that my pressure was way to high and should have been treated years ago , they found out that I had a problem with my thyroid and that the reason I suffer from such severe migraines is probably due to my pressure . I have H-Pylori and my iron is down to 3 ( not sure what it is supposed to be at but they say this is to low ) and there is something wrong with my Potassium ( not sure what this is either ) . I have asthma that bothers me when I am sick ( as this is the only time I have to take a puffer ) and then a few other things . I take 11 different medications now that they tell me I will have to take for life and this was all found out when I got pregnant with my last daughter who is now two . There is not much I can do about any of it but make sure I take my medication on time and I have to have regular check ups at the hospital which I really hate doing . Hopefully you can get your pressure down but be relieved that they are finding this out now and trying to treat it as they found out I had problems with my pressure when I was 19 but they didn't want to treat it because they said I was too young . Now I am being told that if it was treated back then that it would be no where as bad as they may have been able to lower it and I would have been eating better then I was as with high blood pressure one is not supposed to eat salt . I was eating salt on everything as I didn't know this was harmful to me . I know it can be hard to deal with especially when you look at your age and look at your friends around you who don't have to worry about such things as I feel uncomfortable having to take all that I do when friends are over just because they don't have to worry about anything like this yet . There are days that I feel so horrible and yet everyone else is going about their day and then I feel like I am complaining about something all the time and this makes me feel miserable because I know how others don't like to hear about someone who is sick all the time but I never feel good anymore and it just makes some days hard to get through . Best of Luck and Take Care !!!

hello friend wow you have a long and complete story. i understand it correctly. you must realize well your condition and because we have such kind, we must be cautious in our lifestyle. dont feel sorry for your self instead do your best to improve your condition and try to accept it so that you can face it more. i suggest take your meds regularly, do exercise, eat the proper food and have a good relationship with your physician. ask for support from your family to support you in your therapeutic regimen not the other way around of letting you break off from what oyu aspire to do(treatment). good luck and i will pray for a healthier you. thakns for responding friend.

When I was 40 years old(now 46), I've experienced most of the major health disease. That is why I like to react to any discussion about health; heart, arthritis, high blood,..., etc. In fact before I make response to your discussion I've just finished responding to KELLY3 about her Physical Therapy. In now your turn about hypertension. OK my dear very best friend, if you said that you are now hypertension mean your blood pressure for SYSTOLIC must be above than 129 and the DYSTOLIC reading must be above than 90. In numerical ratio above 129/90. I hope yourself practice this way; 1. take less meat(details below), 2. more on veggies(green only for chlorophyll intake), 3. garlic one slice a day(take raw and place over fire, roll it, about one minute) for your food intake. 4. water try to find for alkaline drinking water, & 5. just 30 minutes everyday for your regular exercise.....I mean eVeRyDaY....I repeat EvErYdAy. And now my experience's speaking and non-fingers speaking. FOR YOUR SLEEPING TIME And you look for SALT LAMP and MINI WATER FOUNTAIN to soothe your mind and internal intangible pressure while you're sleeping. Prove, please look and search for our member here had applied this, is SARIAYU. Have you came across her discussion. Go back to her discussion and discuss with her. My input was there. Try to flashback your daily intake for meat. Once you take it excessively, for sure you will easily rants. Aren't you? Actually for every month, for meat you cannot take more than one palm size. I mean start from wrist down to all fingers. Thats only the volume of meat that you can take in a month. And about your CAPTOPRIL intake, Captopril may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away: 1. dizziness or lightheadedness 2. salty or metallic taste, or decreased ability to taste 3. cough 4. sore throat 5. fever 6. mouth sores 7. unusual bruising 8. fast heartbeat 9. excessive tiredness If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately: 1. chest pain 2. swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, arms, or legs 3. difficulty breathing or swallowing 4. fainting 5. rash

At least you know what is wrong with you and how to treat it. I have been in constant pain in all my joints for the past 4 months and no one can tell me why. To make matters worse, the doctor discovered I have a hyperactive thyroid. I had a thyroid scan and the doctor told me I needed to see an endocrinologist....and that was the last I heard from her, as my thryoid symptoms and my pain progresses, I wait.

No, I don't have cancer, at least I don't think I have cancer. The doctor has just started trying to figure out what is wrong, its been about four months. I think if I had cancer they would have found that. I start seeing specialists next week. I am sorry you misunderstood.

For me I just found out that I have another herniated disc its in the cervical of my spine. Which means I might have to have another surgery but Im trying to deal without surgery. whats your point there my frined? you are lucky having not diagnose of any sorts of disease but i guess its really important to have one health insurance who knows you can be strucjk by communicable disease in the future it could be SARS, bird flu virus, or worst it could be even AIDS. so to lessen the expenses, you need a insurance my friend.

yeah,I guess if I ever get ill I'll be waiting in the er for hours |:X I can't afford health insurance & my state won't give me insurance b/c of my income (I am poor just not poor enough) Hopefully I'll stay okay God willing. If not I hope I kick the bucket hard right over the farm when I buy it so I don't leave bills behind.I try not to worry. My cure all is I eat ice every day seriously germs grow in warm areas & I never get sick, I credit that to my addiction to eating ice. ++

I just discoverd that I have gestional diabetes. But I'M happy that will go after my pregnancy. But for the moment, I find it hard that I have to calculate every thing I eat to be sure I don,t eat to much glucides. For the moment my rates are not really good (been doing that for one week) and I think that maybe I will need insuline injection.

hi beyonce. i guess you need to be more watchful with your health right now. i hope the shoot up of blood pressure wont affect your pregnancy stage and most specially your baby. yes i think the remedy for that is some shot of regular insulin. i hope you are fine and well. good day.

well i am suffering from asthma problem, i am suffering from this disease since my childhood, i really hate to take daily medications, its really unlucky that's its an incurable disease, so always look for prevention methods that could trigger asthma, like dust, stress etc.

I was diagnosed last year to have a deadly disease and what's killing me is the fact that I knew about on a very special day for me. I was about to migrate to the US and having a medical examination is the last step for it. After learning about my disease all my dreams were shattered. But, I said to myself this not yet the end. I may have some more dreams to fulfill. I become more closer to God our creator after my diagnosis. I always pray to give me more days to fulfill my dreams for my family. I love them so much and I want them to be happy for all their lives.

Hypertension at that age, may I ask how much you weigh? If that's fine with you. Hypertension is very treatable disease. You fine the cause and you treat it form there, usually its obesity but anger, poor diet, anxiety, etc. can trigger it too. Since you've gone to the Doctor already, I suppose you went to a Cardiologist, he/she must have told you the cause already, and you strive hard to treat it from there. Don't forget to take your meds regularly. I too have heart problems, I was diagnosed with ASD, it's a hole in my heart that needs to be closed only through surgery. But I learn to control my hearts violence whenever he starts one. However, I do know that I might need a surgery one day. Add me to your list of friends bro, we have something in common. And yes, I am 24 too with a heart problem already.

hi ricko, we are friends here in mylot no problem. whats ASD? gee i hope you can still manage to control your heart since what i know is that it is controlled by involuntary muscles but its good to hear that it is working and that surgery is postponed for later time. thanks for the tip i think all the reason you have stated manifest in me. hehehe. so i really have hypertension. but ill try to control it because now i know the factors. thanks for sharing.

Do you get the disease from your parents? I think maybe regular exercise is a good way. Meanwhile you have to have your blood pressure checked regularly and consult your doctor when the readings are not good.
