In my opinion, society is corrupt because we do not have moral, strong, or reflective judges, leaders, etc., to stop the self-interested power elite. Our laws allow self-interested unconscionable criminals to corrupt every poltical, economic, educational, and social system in the world. The downtrodden masses are simply too brainwashed with doublespeak to know the truth and too disempowered to stop the power elite.

corruption is in born nature of human being. There are many reasons for corruption like, desire for power, Wealth, Name, fame and acquirements.
That is natural. Cultivation of an individual in properly curbs these desires to some extent and good reason prevails. When the number of corrupt people in a society increases other people tend to follow their example.
Today's world Moral level has gone very low and propaganda against god has gone up and nothing is regarded as sin.
The very idea of sin was promoted to keep the corruption level low. The solution lies in personal behaviour irrespective of how the corrupt people behave.
I kept my honesty for 35 years in aservice known for its corruption. I had to undergo 16 transfers in 32 years.
I accpted these transfers as a reward for my honesty. Today Iam living with a clean conscience and pray before god withoutany guilty feeling!

If my guess is right, you're a Filipino. My assumption is based merely on your surname but if I'm incorrect, please don't get offended.
Regarding the topic of your discussion, I'm also irritated by the acts of corruption done by some people in the government, particularly here in the Philippines. In fairness, some of them aren't as corrupt before as they are now.
Sometimes, people react only to situations being given to them on a daily basis. What I mean is, some are not really corrupt but because we are given by God the freedom of choice, it is in our own hands whether to do what is right even if it will mean lower income or no food in our plates at all or be dictated by the majority who go with the flow of doing what is suppressing to the mass or the whole population.
In all of this, I firmly believe that God is just watching over us and He isn't taking things for granted. I also believe in the law of karma, "what you give is what you'll reap in return." It may not be in an instant, but as it is said in the Holy Scriptures, 'there's a time for everything.'
Anyway, God bless you in all your endeavors in life and keep doing good.
