I've read the book "The Teachings of Don Juan" and "The Second Ring of Power" by Carlos Castaneda. I find the book very interesting and Mr. Castaneda's style of writing to be exceptional, but up to now I can't seem to fathom if its for real or not. The book is included in the Non-Fiction section of the bookstore where i bought it.

My mother has got one of the series, I think the second one. I've never read it, because I don't think it's my kind of book - I didn't like 'The Alchemist' either and I've been told they were of the same kind. But if you like it so much, I'll give it a try. It may take a while, because I won't see my mother for some weeks, but when she's coming to visit me, I'll ask her to lend me the book and I'll get back to you.

I've read the three books in his series, and I found them a little dry and wanting for answers by the end.Good stuff though.
