6.There are more but my fingers hurt - PLEASE ADD YOUR SCAMS
What do you do with them? there are tons of fun things to do when you recieve such emails. here are listed a few, please add yours.
1. Play dumb, email them back, tell them your interested in their offer, but require more information, then when it comes to giving them your finiancial info. STOP, find out the sort code and account number your bank uses to recieve wire transfers for credit card payments. it is 1 account for millions of customers so dont worrie. just call your credit card company and say you want to make a payment by bank transfer and they will tell you straight away. then send this information along with a bogus name and the address of your local police station to the scammer.
2. Go to your email settings and change your settings so that every email shows FULL HEADERS and forward the email onto any of the following.
-reportphishing@antiphishing.org
-www.spamcop.net
-info@ultrascan.nl
3. Using the information from the headers of the emails you have recieved you can get the ip of the origin and by going to whois.net you can find out who their isp is and their abuse email address. forward the original email WITH FULL HEADERS to their abuse@ email address.
4. Personall favourite, if you have a bit of money to spare, you can visit www.rentacoder.com and find yourself a A1 5* hacker and pay him 50 dollors to destroy the scammers computer via remote. it is a fair price considering you have been saved from loosing thousands.
