Tubal Ligation Reversal

Hi Everyone~ I had my tubes tied when I was 22(I am now 27)following a c-section with my second child. I feel now that I made a horrible, and uninformed choice and wish so badly everyday that I could go back in time and not get it done. It has caused so much pain for me! I was in a BAD reltionship with a loser when I made the decession to have it. Not knowing that he would leave me and my both of our children (I felt our family was complete!) But no he left and later I remarried. The man I married has no chidren and I would give anything to give that to him. On top of that it has ruined my menstral cycle something terrible! I just want so bad to be back to normal!Right now I am planning on having a Tubal Ligation Reversal so that I can get my cycles back on track and have another baby. I wish the doctors would have sat me down and talked with me about my decession to inform me more about it! I feel that the doctors don't care about the paitent and what they are going to go through. All they hear is Cha Ching and are all like okay lets do this! Jerks I think it shoud be mandatory that they fully explain all side effects and what is evnvoled with something like this! It is destroying me inside, I don't feel like a complete woman. If you have any thought on this I would love to hear about it. Maybe even you or some one you know are going through this?

I have no personal experience about this. but I think u should follow ur heart. if u feel strongly to get the reversal, go ahead, and find a good caring doctor. Explain your concerns with your current doctor to make sure u are comfortable with your current doctor. Also personally I like traditional chinese medicine/acupuncture & stuff so u might wanna consider too. cheers.... me www.myhandbaghaven.blogspot.com

After my 4th child was to be a c-section my husband and I discussed tubal ligation as well. He is a medical provider and made it very clear that he did not want me to have it done for the very health reasons you have pointed out. Instead we chose for him to get a vasectomy, which he did. In some ways I regret that choice as well. I am still mourning the thought that we will have no more babies. If you truly want the reversal, be sure to sit down and talk to a couple of different doctors. Make sure you know all the possible side effects and probabilities of conceiving again. We were told that even if my husband got a reversal we probably still wouldn't conceive. I do know someone who did conceive after a tubal ligation reversal. She had it done 10 years prior. Today she has a healthy 8 year old daughter. Best of luck!

I had a tubel when I was 23. I have never wanted to have a reversal. I have three children when I decided to have this done. I had a better doctor than you did I guess because after my second child he would not let me get a tubal. He said i may want another one someday. I am sorry to hear that your ordeal causes so much pain for you. I think that if you want to get a reversal then go for it. But consider all the factors first like age and relationship stability and anything else you can think of. You are a complete woman and you need to tell yourself that everyday. Don't let anything or anyone destroy that.

hi ~ Thanks for the input, I know I shouldn't eel the way I do but , there are sometimes a lot of hormonal imbalances associated with Tubal Ligation. I'm ure that is contributing to my feeling of inadaqucy.
