If you are in a bad mood does it affect the way you respond to discussions? Or does it put you in a better mood to look for good discussions that make you smile? When I am in a bad mood I look for discussions that will pick up my mood and try to avoid anything of a more serious tone.

I don't think that it affects me to respond to discussions. I still use the usualy tone. It doesn't make much difference to me. But in fact, I have been in good mood almost every day. Thanks for your discussion, dear ladybug.

Good morning, thanks for your comment. I think I tend to be more critical when I am in a bad mood so I avoid it. have a great day!! :)

Yes, bad moods definitely affect the way I response. It's the feelings I have and sometimes I cant hide it thru my response especially when the topic is too serious. Most of the time, when I am in a bad mood I keep quite and try to deal it myself cause sometimes whether I like it or not, my bad moods affect the way I deal with people.

Hi ladybug! Oh yes most of time when Im on mylot Im in a very good mood because I like hearing from my friends. And they are always happy and upbeat. So if I have had a bad day when I come on mylot I soon feel better. There are those times when Im in a bad mood and I sometimes take it out on other people that strike me wrong. I think alot of us do that.

Yes now that I think about it, ladybug565. When I am in a down mood I avoid the religion and serious subjects and stick with the more upbeat.. I think I do that not only to keep from getting more down, but I don't want to say something I shouldn't..

We all are effected by moods, and when i am in a bad mood, i rarely come here till my mood is better. Its not that my bad mood effects my replies but i just feel that if i am in a bad mod, i will not be able to be just and fair in my replies as i will still be carrying the burden of the mood on my shoulder and that is not right if we have to reply to some discussions. I feel that io should be in a nmormal mood, not good not bad, neutral and give my just, serious, honest answers and replies here, as those people who have come here to seek answers from here, would expect that too.
I dont think that if we are occupied with some other things on our minds, we can be just in our replies here, unless my modd is not that bad, then i may come and look for such discussions whihc would make me light again, but till then i would look forward to only getting into a good mood first then answering.

yes it really does affect my mood and i don't know why maybe because we are made that way as humans. But I could easily think of something happier a few moments after so it won't affect my entire day. It's like your pressured and you need to relaxed to loosen up just thinking your day will be a good one and not ruining your entire day.

I either do the same thing you do and look for more upbeat discussions to cheer me up, or I will stay off the site altogether. It just depends on how bad my mood really is at the time. Sometimes even the good discussions won't lift my mood, so it's better if I just stay away at that point to avoid unintentionally snapping at someone that doesn't deserve it.

I agree about staying off the site if you are in a really bad mood! I feel really horrible if i snap at someone that dosent deserve it. thanks again for a great response. :)

I've noticed that kind ofthing with my responses. If I'm in a good mood, I'm more likely to give a long, upbeat response. If I'm in a not so good mood, my responses will have a more negative attitude in them. Occasionally I will read something that makes me laugh and lifts me out of a bad mood but usually my bad moods are bad enough that not much of anything will help.

thanks. I look for things that will take my mind off my problem or start a discussion about it. by the time I am done i am usually in a better mood.

Absolutely! My mood definitely affects my responses. If I'm in a bad mood I have to avoid depressing discussion or those where someone is complaining or venting. If I were to reply I'd probably go off on some long ranting tangent of my own and ruin the discussion! On days like that I'm better off sticking to the uplifting, kinder and gentler discussions.

I know exactly what you mean, that is why I look for happy discussions or at least stay away from posting any responses untill I am in a better mood. thanks.

It seems like when I come here, it almost always puts me in a good mood! I enjoy being part of the discussions, enjoy being able to state my opinion, and enjoy finding out how people from all over the world live and think... so that makes me feel better! It makes me feel part of the world, instead of just my little corner!

Oh yes that is what I do as well. I can't go near something to make it worse if I am in a bad mood, cause it will. I look for happy posts or if nothing else I will post a happy discussion, LOL. I like being positive, so I try to avoid those things that will tick me off or upset me here.

I like to be positive too. thanks. I was in a little bit of a bad mood because of something that happened at my house earlier but then I came on here and found a couple of "happy" discussions, but when I am in that kind of mood I try to stay away from some discussions because it is much harder to be objective. :) Have a happy night.
