haha yeh ive gotta tottaly agree with what you have said, i just love to look what other people are buying, and as you said you can really tell alot about a person just by what they buy, for example you can tell the difference between people with alot of salad in there cart, and a person with lots of pies and cakes in there carts!

I never really pay attention to other people's grocery carts when I'm shopping in general...the only time I do however, is when I see someone with a cart that is so stacked and piled up, it looks like the person is stocking for a year...LOL...I'll even kid them about it saying "Gee, It looks like you're stocking for the month." And their reply, "No, just for the week!" I sometimes will notice if someone had cat food in their cart and strike up a conversation, especially if they are buying the same brand of cat food I do....We pet owners just love to talk about our "babies"--no?

I love talking about my cats...i used to not be a cat lover...just because I am allergic. But a month ago we lost my Gilbert and things haven't been the same...so we got another kitten this weekend...

Nope never do. I am too busy trying to shop for my own groceries that I don't pay attention to others. I know a lot of people look at ours because its always overflowing because we shop fortnightly and most would probably shop once a week or every few days at least.

Yeah I get sometimes like that but since they have free daycare for the kids...I try to go as slow as i can so I can enjoy the time away from them.

Honestly taylorblue when I go shopping I rarely look in anyone elses shopping cart to see what they have! I am usually in a hurry because I usually do the shopping while the hubby is working so I don't have his help with our 15 month old daughter, and my concentration is on trying my hardest not forget anything lol.

Hi there. While Im walking the aisles, I dont go peeking/looking into other peoples trolleys, until I get to the checkout and have to wait, Im looking at how many more grocery items they have before I actually get to the checkout lol...

Sometimes I get brave and ask why they have a million bottles of pop...usually people get embarassed but I think its funny.

I have better things to do than to look in someone else's groccery cart, when I am out shopping. I would also hope that when others are shopping they have better things to do than to look in mine. I don't have any secrets, I just don't like being under someone else's watch.

I think it is just built in us to be curious...I respect what you say though.

yes, i will have a glance at others' grocery carts. sometimes i will buy something in his/her grocery cart.
you know the supermarket is too large, and there are lots of peopel in it especially in weekends, so i dont' want to find something i don't have to buy now. if i look at others' grocery carts, then i am easy to find what i want.
then i can find the living level in my city.

Honestly, I usually just view what others have while at the checkout. When I'm shopping, I focus on being done with it as soon as possible; I get what I need & what I planned to purchase, maybe quickly browse through the aisles for anything extra, and then leave.

I personally don't bother to look into other people's shopping carts, although I certainly had the experience of other people looking into mine - especially here in Japan. Perhaps they're curious as to what I buy (frankly, not much different than them...except I don't buy so much fish).

ALWAYS!
My boyfriend and I sort of have a game that we play when we do the groceries, pointing out the shopping trolleys and their contents, or even just commenting on people's talent or lack thereof in the area of 'trolley stacking/item stacking' - as some people just throw their groceries right on in, not paying attention to heavier things on the bottom etc.
Some people have inspiring systems, and some people just seem to buy so many unhealthy or seemingly unnecessary things.
We enjoy making up scenarios of their home-lives and personality based on their shopping - both items they buy, and their style.

I do tend to glance over...but I don't think its so much out of curiosity as it is that I have to keep an eye out to make sure I"m not running into people. lol Since I usually have both kids with me...I tend to pay more attention to them than other shoppers. I hope people don't look in my cart...especially when I have feminine products in there. lol

I hope not either...but I won't have to worry about that anymore...I just had a hysterectomy!
