Students ,when the new term starts,will you make a plan of the term?

when i was a student,i would make a plan of new term,when the term started.such as passing the exams,being the champion of the football leauge in school,reading some books which i like,and so on.but when i graduated from school,i found that i didn't have any plan,because i must go with the plan of other people,such as manager or leaders.so students,makeing plan of yourself and doing with it is lucky!
