What your feeling if you work onsite for 1.5 months' depart from the family

Now I work onsite at Palo Alto, CA USA and will be here for 1.5 months. This is my second time onsite here. The first time I came here for 1 month was the moment my new born baby was 2 months' old, and I didn't see her for 1 month. I bought one new aparment just before the current onsite travel, now my wife is busy at decorating the aparment and complainted that I left during the important period. Actually I really want to live with my family and want to see them everyday althought the env is amazingly beautiful. Do you accept a long travel of working onsite at an fantastic place if given a chance?
