Me and my hubby moved into this apartment about a year ago, and being that he travels a lot for his job and is gone quite often I would be here alone at night, and I swear I would hear someone walking around while Im in bed at night trying to sleep. During the day my neighbors both worked and would be gone, but I would hear lots of banging and things coming from their apartment. I spoke to hear about it one day and she said that is funny that I mentioned that because she had noticed some clothing missing once, and things were always being moved around her apartment and her son swore he didnt touch a thing.
Just a few nights ago I was expecting my husband home around 5 am from work and I swore I heard him enter the apartment, I heard his keys jingling and I heard him go in the bathroom and close the door. Then I heard that distinct sound our shower makes when you turn the knob for the hot water and swore he was taking a shower before getting into bed. Something he usually does. Well I was still half sleeping and was waiting for him to come to bed, when that didnt happen I finally got up and looked down the hallway only to see that the door to the bathroom was open and my husband was not at home yet. He thought I was dreaming that time, and previous times he said I was just here alone and was hearing things.
Well Saturday night I was out with some friends and he was home going to get some sleep for his early work day on Sunday. When I got home about 10.30 pm he was complaining to me that he heard keys and people talking and couldnt figure out where it was coming from. I thought finally! Im not the only one hearing things!
Im not sure I beleive in ghosts really, but what other explanations could their be??
Do you have any ghost tales??

For some strange reason I dont mind being scared, terrified is another story! lol
Thank you for your belief, not many people would even entertain the thought! Im really cool with it, as long as no one gets hurt or my things come up missing like my neighbor said she had going on in her apartment.

Yes I have to agree with you there. Living people are way more dangerous than anything that has been deceased and burried in the ground!
Thank you for saying I sound so brave, I guess in a way that I am. :) I dont think your one bit of a coward, having someone around you to feel comfort is not a cowardly act. Its purely natural!

i have too a strange tale to tell you.
In one evening I was with my friend who bought a new computer that behaved a very pelicular way.It was displayed strange characters on the screen instead normal words and numbers.Eventually he loose the patience with it,and phoned up the manufacturer, asking them to take it away.He unplugged the computer and left it on his desk ready to be collected. Then something even stranger started to happen.Although the machine was not plugged in it,words began to appear on the screen. The writer watched in fascination.'Long ago,on another planet', he read,'there were people like you. They sent messages into space but....'.Then the screen went blank. The writer waited, but nothing happened. Then he plugged it again ,and started to write. This time the computer behaved normally, and he wrote all night, feeling like inspired by the few words he had read.He knew that the story was different from anything he had ever been written before.Eventually it was published, and became a hube best seller.Everyone said it was the most original thing he had ever written. But the writer always would suspected that the new computer had something to do with it.i was very scared but nothing bad happened to me ot to my friend...just it was strange.

Hello Horia_profit!
Well you have my attention! lol
Will you tell me the name of the book this person wrote? I would be very interested in reading it! I had chills as I read your comment....wow thats really freaky.
Good thing that nothing bad happened to you or your friend. Im not sure what I would have done in that situation! I might just be scared of the computer and never use one again.
Thanks for your response.

I have never been in a haunted house, and usually when I heard creaks, it was because the door was not shut or the furnace made that horrible noise when it started up.
I do not have any stories of any ghosts but then the houses we lived in and the one apartment we were in had obvious explanations like late neighbors. However, sometimes I woke up in the night or at least I thought I woke up, everything seemed normal until I saw something out of the ordinary and I realized that I was dreaming. That could have been what happened to you.

Suspensful - you woke up but you were dreaming? Was it like a night terror?

It could have been that one particular night, there are other things that have went on that cant really be explained, and even my husband said he heard things when all was quiet late at night in the house alone.
Not long after I posted this discussion, I experienced something I still cant explain. I usually take my rings off my fingers, I only wear 3 of them and I had forgotten to take them off. I woke pretty early needing the bathroom so I stumbled in there half asleep and sat down. I rested my hands on my thighs and through sleepy eyes I noticed I was missing a ring! That woke me up! I didnt even finishe on the toilet...lol...I stopped and ran back to the bed flipping on the light waking my husband and my ring was in the bed when I pulled the covers back. This is not a ring that easily comes off my finger either, none of them do.
"I" didnt take it off, so who did? And how without me feeling it?? Hmmmm?? LOL

I'm not sure if it can be considered as a ghost tale but it is quite unnatural. It happened to me years ago when I was still in highschool. I was in my bed in my room and the door is open. My bedroom is just at the right side of the front door. I was doing something, I think an assignment when I saw my brother inside our house near the front door cleaning his slippers by the floor mat. He was wearing his white shirt and his short with pineapple designs =) I asked him something but he just ignored me, he just continued on what he is doing. I was a little busy too and I continued on my homework. After I've finished what I'm doing I've seen my mother and asked her where is my brother because I'm asking him about something. She said she doesn't know. After a couple of minutes my brother arrived, he just came from school and still wearing his school uniform. It is really creepy, it is the second time that something like that happened to me.

I just wanted to say that ghosts are not normally cruel and certainly not all of them, if something horrible is happening then maybe it is something other then a ghost like an entity, if anyone wants to discuss this further with me then just email me. It just doesn't make sense that ghosts would be cruel. And Yes I know what I am talking about.

Hi Dee, Im not sure why I didnt respond to you, my apologies. And your welcome.
I saw my brother after he passed away, a couple of times. I saw him on the night of his wake, I was staying with my neighbors because my Mom thought the wake was too much for me, and I could attend the burial the next day. I was sitting on her couch watching TV when my brother appeared in the window smiling and waving at me. I was freaked out! Then not long after that my Mom moved me into his bedroom in the house, and I saw him at the foot of my bed. I wasnt so scared then, I was a bit older.
Im so sorry to hear about your daughter, that must have been a terrible experience for you. I couldnt imagine losing a child, my heart goes out to you. xx

I believe I witnessed many sightings by elderly residents in a Nursing Home, I believe spirits are always around especially when people are in need...one episode I believe as a spirit presence was my own mother, she was in a state of nearing the end when all of a sudden she opened her eyes and looked intensely at the wall and said I want to go with him, when I asked what she meant she stretched her arm out to where she was looking and said I want to go with him and when I asked who she said I want to go with dad....I believe their are ghosts or as I say Spirit Guides around us all the time, there to guide us abnd to prompt us to make the right decisions...

You gave me chills reading that! haha
When I was in college I worked in a mental facility part time at night, I wouldnt go down hall 1 alone after dark. Screams and pounding would be heard late in the night, and upon many bed checks by others there over the years would prove that everyone was sleeping. Like you said you could just feel a presence!

That's scarry!
I'm a bit coward when it comes to ghost, if I were in your situation would never want to be alone again in that apartment cause I got this furious imagination thats why I can get easily scared.
Anyway, we also have (i think) ghost in our house. whenever I oh not only me...watch tv or infront of pc I can sense that someone just pass by at my back or sometimes with my peripheral vision I see some silohoutte that just walk by. Whenever I experience that I will try to ignore it first but most often I ended up calling someone or call it a night and go to sleep early.
And theres this one time when me and my sisters visit some relatives in province and requires us to have an overnight before going home. AT that night I could not sleep because of all the noises I hear. From the sound of a racking chair, to a sound of a mechanical doll up to the sound of a gate being opened plus the sound of a footsteps. Those sound just keeps playing and playing I think a hundred times that whole night.

Yeah I have had that feeling that someone is in the room with me but Im here alone. Not only in the apartment that Im in now but at my home where I grew up too. Its kind of exciting and I dont mind the excitement as long as nothing hurts me. I know I have seen so many things on tv where something in the house was hurting people, either by scratching them or throwing things or making things fall near them. But again that is tv and Im not so sure just how accurate those tales are.
Thank you for sharing!

Well that reminds me while Im answering all your responses. I was home taking a shower in the middle of the day and I thought I heard the front door so I thought my husband was home, then all the sudden something banged on the bathroom door, just once, which is something he would have done himself just to mess with me. So I call his name telling him to come in, but he never did. When I got out he wasnt there, and when he did come home from work, I asked if he had stopped by quickly or something during work and he said no. I left for a little while that day! lol It really scared me.

i dont know if this is scary but it really gave me the creeps. here it goes..
we went for an overnight in the office to finish some work. i think there were 8 or 9 of us. it was still early, i think 8-9pm. all of them were watching tv in one room and i went to the other room to get my sleeping mat and brought it to the room we were going to sleep in. so i was carrying my sleeping mat and i was walking down the hallway alone. i cant really hear any sounds, i guess that's how it really is in an office building. when i reached my destination room, as i was going to turn the doorknob, i heard someone whispered in my right ear. *shivers* i instantly looked at my right side and there wasnt anyone there. i didnt really get scared at that moment. i actually thought i heard something from the other room. when i went back to my officemates, i asked them if there was anyone in that other room where i thought was the source of what i heard. but they said there werent. still, i didnt get scared.
the next day, i told about it to my other officemates. this is the time i got scared. they said, in the room that we slept in, the boss of that room had a weird experience. inside the room, there are 2 little rooms, one is the boss's room and the other one is a storage room. one time she was inside, she was calling for her staff who she thought was in the storage room. she heard someone answered her. after sometime, her staff came back and she asked her what was she doing in the storage room. her staff said she wasnt in there, she went outside in the comfort room!
im actually thankful i didnt understand the whisper. ^.^;;

I think anything having to do with ghosts or unexplained experiences is scary! But I guess I do have this really crazy idea that being scared is sort of fun! lol
I have had the sense that someone touched me on my back or something and turned and no one was there. It gave me goose pimples all over my body!
Thanks for sharing your story, I loved it!

I have a different stories about the ghost I have been seen. Yes I always believe in ghost and I believe that there are many spirit surround us in this world. And I believe also that the spirit of our love are here in our side to protect us and guide us everytime we are in trouble and I know that there are spirit that are bad and there spirit are good.

That sure is spooky. I hope this will never happen to me. I suggest you find a medium or a priest and conduct a ritual , I know this sounds weird but it may indeed help you. Do not take this lightly as one day , who knows what will happen.....

Thank you for your response. Im not feeling as if Im in any danger, I just feel like Im not alone! I just hear things and like the other morning, my ring was missing from my finger, which it just doesnt come off so easy when Im pulling on it. How else did it get off my finger and in my bed while Im sleeping?? If I start to get hurt or feel threatened your suggestion will be useful.

I have many ghosts experiences. When I was a child my grandmother had a habit of talking to herself. She would stare into thin air and make gestures while she was talking and everything. Many times while she lived with us, I would see an elderly man walking behind her out of the corner of my eye. It would always startle me and I would go around looking for this old man. I came to the conclusion that maybe she was talking to my grandfather. Ever since then I have learned as much as I can about all paranormal activities. Its very interesting! I have had a poltergeist as well, but I am convinced that was from the negative energy in the place I was living and nothing more. Basically I was pushed from behind into my sink! No one was in the apartment but me! It almost felt like it came from the floor, like the floor lifted me off my feet. It was really creepy.

Its you again...hehe your kind of like a ghost! ;)
You just gave me the chills Kyttie!! I have had feelings of being touched or pushed with just a finger, never my whole body! OMG!!
Your grandparents must have been really close, and I can see how he would come to her and make sure she was ok, he was just protecting his love is all. That is really kind of sweet!!
