You don't say which blog platform you are using, if you give me that information I can help you find a suitable template. If you are using Blogger, they have no three column templates in their standard templates, however, I can show you a place where you can find instructions for altering Blogger templates for three columns. I can also show you a site that has free templates for blogger beta that you can use.
If you are going to use Wordpress, they have three column templates available. There are also free customized WP templates out there on the net available for download. Let me know if you need guidance to find them.

First let me say that I have no connection to either of these websites, I am just passing along good info that I have found in my blogging experience.
Well, I can't say enough good things about this website. It's called Tips for New Bloggers and the url is tips-for-new-bloggers.blogspot.com. He has instructions on how to customize your template in so many ways, you could spend hours there. The instructions are very detailed and you can even cut and paste them right into your html code.
If you want a free template already finished for you, try finalsense.com. They have a lot to choose from but fewer for the xml blogger and only some are three colums. Still, they are very nice and free.
Good luck with your blogging, be sure to put your blog info on your mylot profile, too.
