It used to be 'Titanic', but I'm pretty sure now it is 'Lord of the Rings', the first movie.

I thought you were looking for the one with the most. Lord of the Rings had more than Ben Hur.

In the history of Oscar awards, there are only two movies who reaped several awards. Ben Hur in early 1960s which tied with Titanic in 1998, they both won 11 awards out of 14 nominations. I don't know if there are any film who got this similar distinction.

The maximum number of Oscars won by a movie is 11. Three films share this honor: "Ben-Hur" (1959), "Titanic" (1997) and "The Lord of The Rings" (2003). What about the "big five" awards? These are: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Screenplay. There are only three movies that have won all five: "It Happened One Night" (1934), "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" (1975) and "The Silence of the Lambs" (1991).
