Help his house is falling.

My boyfreind owns a house that is in need of repairs badly. I have lived in nice homes. He wants me to live with him but we argue over the condition of his house. He doen't like to spend money on it but will spend it on an old car or something that he wants like guy stuff. What can I do to make him realize the problem? He has seen the way I live.

I dont know what to tell you cuz. He is a typical male they do what they want to do and to heck with what we want. I have seen the houses you have lived in and I know how hard it is for you to stay very much in a house that has some of the problems that one has. I guess you can keep talking to him and show him the error of his ways.

No sense arguing. If you aren't comfortable there, then don't stay there. If he wants you there bad enough he'll fix it up.

Well, if you already argue over the condition of his house, and you don't even live there yet, does he think things will be better when you have to put up with it 24/7? Honestly, you'll probably end up fighting more if you had to live there, right? I'd point that out to him. You don't want to be a nag, and I'm sure he doesn't want you to become one either. So it would really be in both your best interests to either continue to live apart or for him to commit to fixing up the place before you move in. Maybe that is simplifying the situation a bit too much, but it is a good place to start from.
