Has anyone else ever thought of this while playing Valkyrie Profile?

Last time that I played "Valkyrie Profile", which is an awesome game, I thought to myself, this game is really depressing. All of the characters that you control have to die before you get to use them. One of the worst is the mermaid, whose death is wished by the young man that loved her. Most of the characters sacrificed themselves in one way or the other, leading to thier demise. This game is incredibly sad, but the gameplay is awesome. Anyone else sometimes have to stop playing because it just gets too sad?

not really, in fact, I find it amusing, although in the second disc, everything seemed to be gloomy and repetitive. But it will be so funny and exciting once you've got into the seraphic gate. I find that there's a couple of jokes in it.
And again, if you're asking me if the stories were sad, i think it's more of fate ^^ Those deaths happen here too, ya know.
