People who have so much misunderstandings are those who never married at all. Any improvement on this statement?

I have never actually been married, I have had serious relationships and I have a lot of married friends around me so I think I have seen enough to understand the pros and cons of divorce, I think people can learn from others plus the fact I think marriage it self is becoming very insignificant.

Probably the marriage is becoming insignificant in some countries due to their societal set up which is undergoing tremendous changes now and then. But in countries like India, marriage is a good institution which brings in happiness to the married, happiness to the family members and this union of minds and body is keeping the society as clean as it used to be.

Marriage is prescribed to keep man chained to one spouse otherwise the society will become a jungle. Even with all the restrictions people go on the rampage .Imagine a society where there is no marriage systm. Then like the lion the strong man will keep a harem and the weak will have none. Speaking of India there is a very old tradition of matching birth charts to ensure compatibility between the couple. This is because marriage is ajoint social responsibility. The husband and wife are like two bulls of a bullock cart they have to share the burden equally. In the west they dont match the charts so Many marriages become incompatible and divorce follows

Hey Valmiki, you answer all those who consider marriage as changing shirts. As if it is tasting different fruit different day. What a life it is. You better put your comments as response so that I can honour your response with BR

I attribute the divorce cases happening in a big way is a social problem, too much of freedom, total disregard for organized society.

I think that we need to look at things from both sides to make it more fair. We cannot simply say that divorce is a bad thing. For those who don't feel happy for their marriage, it is better to get divorced so that they can live a better life because life is too short for us to live unhappily. We need to live a decent married life to the maximum.

Life is full of compromises. One is not so principled as to say that what is said is what is done. With a give and take principle, with patience, one make married live a memorable and everlasting event.
