i have seen many folks in my place consulting voodoo priest and they strong believe that a voodo priest got the power to bring luck in their life. in africa many people are caught up in a miserable life and they believe the cause of this problem is witchcraft, caston them by envious people and in order to cast out this problem they have to consult a witchdoctor. Most of these witchdoctors ask their patiance to slaughter a goat for their dead ancestors to evoke them. the most popular places where rituals are conducted is in the rivers, swamps, dams, seas and mountain. These witchdoctors gives their patiants charm, talisman to carry around. Ricky Martin once told a UK magazine'that when he was like 9/10/ somewhere there his father took him to a babaloo, a vodoo priest out there in Pueto Rico and the babaloo told him that he will be a famous singer, in which he is today. In Africa, many people are still caught up in this myth of witchcraft. But some few folks who live in urban areas don't believe much in this. whilst many people from the rural areas bath with chicken blood, some even kills innocent children for the rituals.
