I know that smoking is bad for me. I know all about the cancer. I know what my lungs look like. I know there are people who cannot be around it. I do not smoke around them and respect their wishes. I just wish people would realize that I also have wishes. If I wish to smoke please excuse me and let me. If I can abide by your rules and wishes why are mine ridiculed. I like to smoke. No, it does not make me look cool, but I enjoy it.

I started smoking when I was 11, so 13 years in total, though I have been quit for 10 weeks now. This is the first time I have really attempted to give it up. I did have the tablets from the doctor though. I did not use the patches, the gum makes me feel bad and would you really walk down the street with one of them puffer thingies?
I can still remember how bad I was when I first started smoking, it does make me wonder why I carried on. I used to feel green after having one. If I had one in my bedroom out the window, I would have to lie down on my bed and sleep for a while after. Funny isn't it?
It was deff time for me to give up though. I never really had one in the mornings until about 11.30 when my dad come round on his lunch break. I was never one for waking up in the night and having one or first thing in the morning. But the instant my mum was around we would have one after another, and sometimes that made me feel ill too, I would end up with a head ache.
So me and mum decided time to give up, we both went doctors and got the tablets, apparently there are 2 types, I had one and she got the other. Mum had tried to give up a few times, she did 3 weeks on the patches. She is smoking again now, the doctor took her of the tablets as they were making her poorly
