Are You More an Action Person or More of a Thinking Person?

If you have an idea across your mind, do you work on or experiment your ideas immediately? Or would you sit there and think and dream about it and never put your ideas into action? I think I am an action person. If I got an idea, I would fine tune it in my brain and try to reach it for a bit, then I would put that into action! It's not always turning out to be the stuff/ things I would imagine, but I always learn something during the process.

Contradictions make human being more interesting! *smiles* Well, when I am acting, I think too, and sometimes I find myself changing my minds too much along the way haha.

I think I'm like you - when I have a 'revolutionary' idea, I think about it for a little while and do some fine-tuning and then I put it into action, even if it never eventuates, or turns out different to how I had planned, it is still great learning material and usually fun or interesting.
I am a bit of a procrastinator though, and don't always do the things that I think up..
I'm a mix between the thinker and the actor.
=D

Hello wondericequeen,
I think I am more of a thinking person rather than the action person. Sometimes, I have a lot of good ideas *smiles* but I just keep thinking and thinking where the ideas will bring me in a near future rather than doing something about it. It is such a waste of time if you keep thinking and never try to make something out of it ... *sad*

*laughs* I usually can't wait to start my ideas but I don't think I have spent enough amount of time to fine tune the ideas. But it's really enjoyable to learn something during the process. Oh you should really put your ideas into action if you have some good ones!

I feel action or thinking probably depends upon the situation we face.In my view,i am sometimes action oriented person and sometimes thinking person depending upon the situation. For example if i want to make a cup of tea,i put immediately into action, but if i want to become a bussiness person, than i think of it as how to do it inorder to become a good bussiness person...........
So friend every body in the world, some how or other become action oriented person or become thinking oriented person.I think what i said is absolutely true....
What do u say friend.......

True! But what about the percentage? Which one do you think you are more towards to? Of course there are situations require more thinking but after you think for a long time, do you still put those ideas into action?

It depends whether the matter is important or interested. For those important things I will straight away put them into action. Of course those interested ones like mylotting I definitely won’t miss it at all lol... For other fancy ideas I would like to dream more than taking action. In this respect I always could enjoy very much in the imaginative world, say like admiration of great success in certain field.

I think I am more an action person.because once I think about something I want to do,if I can not do it at once, then I will feel terrible and worring.so if only I think about something,I will do it at once.

Certainly, it is difficult for me to sit back and wait to act on an idea. Sometimes when I am forced to postpone getting onto the computer, I will sit back and write my ideas in my composition notebook. That way the ideas will be just as fresh later on when I finally have access to my computer.
Sometimes I think it's much better to act right away, even with only a partial idea to work on. That way you have the initial enthusiasm to fuel your journey. Sometimes I have over-thought entire concepts and ended up sick of them before they came to fruition. That ended up being a real waste for me.
As is, when I do have time to go online and work on my ideas, I try to do a little bit of the old and the new work daily. That way I can make progress towards all goals. I must carefully monitor myself so that I don't run off on too many tangents and not get anything done. When I can do that, I am most successful.

I think I'm a bit of both. I'm great at thinking up ideas but not so great at always putting them into action. But then again there are times that I'll put it into action right away and keep on it until I burn myself out and then drop it all together. I'm trying to train myself to take things a bit easier and follow through more with my ideas and so far that seems to be working a whole lot better.

Good, I hope things will work out for you nicely! *smiles* I can't wait to go back home and read all the stuff, then start the idea right away!

Thanks! It's hard sometimes with so many ideas running in my head, lol. What I do now is keep a notebook with a running list of ideas and things I need to do. This way I can do one thing at a time and keep track of it all. Good luck to you as well in your own endevors!

I'm more of a thinking person than an action person. The more I think, the less action I actually take.
My imagination is lots of fun. Writing on mylot is a thinking activity, pretty much. But I like to take action like gathering things. Also dancing and martial arts, but right now, I'm limited thanks to that accident. Hope I can do my actions stuff more. Went gathering for the first time since August 10th. It was hard, but good. TAke care

I can say I am a fully an action person. Sometimes I used to take initiative and find out success from my ideas. But some times as you said i keep on dreaming about the ideas and in this case i couldn't find the aim or objective. This is different to people. Still i used to be an action person comparing to the next

I maore of the acting person than a thinking person. Coz most of the time I talk without thinking that people would be hurt fromt he words that I say. Now I am trying to be a balance of both things the thinking actor. Its better that way coz its for my own good and the people around me.

earlier i never used to think and do things. but now i always am 1 step forward before i talk,do or advise.so better look before you leap and always try to stay ahead of the pack.i can giove youan instance. an electrc pole fell unknowngly and people reacted so swiftly that i was totally dumbstruck.no one was injured.u need to guage things so quickly in this world. u need to think all the time.you always think about future soo why cant youthink all the time!if you think your acton s will happen automatically.
