Teacher's Day was celebrated several days ago in my country, on 1st September. My wife is a teacher, and on this day each year, her students will present her with cards, chocolates, cookies, flowers, soft toys, framed photos and some other cute stuff. It is a day students show their affection for their teachers and let them know how much they are admired and appreciated. Each year, my wife brings back a whole lot of cards and gifts received from her students, and she will gladly run through each one and tell me which of her students had remembered her. Out of curiosity, I usually read some of the cards, and from what the students write, I know that they are thankful for her guidance and concern as their teacher. This is one of the reasons why my wife tells me she finds teaching fulfilling as a career.

Thank you for the vote, Sona. You're a student currently? Do you aspire to be a teacher some day? Teaching is a very noble profession, one that shapes students' character and makes a difference in their lives. Hope you will have a great and rewarding career ahead of you.
