You need to have one copy of windowsxp installation disk and when it will insert in CVD rom then it will auto run in your laptop and first format hard disk of our laptop then will gradually install the xp. During installation follow the easy instruction of the installation cd. This is not hard job but need a perfect installation cd. This cd will show you installation and boot cd of xp. No experience needed just within 30 to 40 minutes time it will install.

well, I went into the bios and set the boot via DVD/CD-rom so that the bootable winxp cd can run after i restart my laptop but it bypasses the winxp boot. probably something wrong with winxp installer cd. it doesnt look like a bootable cd at all. anyway thank you for responding to my problems :)

The laptop should have come with the os already installed. Have you looked through your installed programs thoroughly? Unless it's a used laptop I've never heard of buying a blank one. Do you have the win xp install cd? If you do once you put that in it should automatically install. Good luck.
