At first glance this may appear to be a ridiculous statement, but lets give it some thought. Someone will think, you can't say that taking another persons life is good. I agree, and I don't THINK that it's good, but does my thinking make it so for everyone, and under all circumstances? We teach our soldiers to kill in times of war. Many people think it's okay to kill those whom they perceive as their enemies. Others agree with taking the life of a convicted killer, using the old rationale of " an eye for an eye ", even though most of the great masters, including Jesus Christ, rejected it. So it would appear that under some circumstances, a lot of people THINK that it is GOOD to kill another. Of course it's not good to steal, we should never take what isn't ours. Correct again, at least that's what I THINK, but wait, haven't we made Robin Hood a hero, and what exactly did he do? Didn't he STEAL from the RICH and GIVE to the POOR? Did this mean that it was good? Is it BAD to steal from a corrupt government? And who decides that the government is corrupt? Of course we could go on forever about this using all kinds of examples. I'm just pointing out that old Will Shakespeare may have had something there. I,d like you're thoughts.

I agree with all that.. but some people get carried away with it. It doesn't mean there isn't evil. If someone stabs me with a knife, he may not know it's evil, but I would! And hitler may not have thought he was doing evil, but that was pretty delusional.. It's kind of like saying, one person's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter.. that's not always true. And dictator's which I guess we already covered! So I guess, like with all things, a little bit of logic and common sense can keep one away from the extremes of it, which human nature is just so prone to!:)

Shakespeare is right. There is a similar quote, "I think, therefore, I am." Meaning we are what we think we are or what we want to be.

By any of your action if you harm your body or mind is no good act.
By any of your action if you harm others mind or body is also
no good act.
If some one want to think a bad act as good act. Only God can help. For an normal man the above rule should apply.

Shakespeare was a literary genius, and a Great Thinker. HE was looking within as he made that statement. He realised the Power of Thought, and knew that we are able to think ourselves Sick, and just as easily, think ourselves Well. Before Anything important happens there's always much thought goes into it. Also Shakespeare was aware that "Whats good for the Goose, is not always Good for the Gander". For instance it may be good for you to eat squash, but the same food might make your spouse ill.
I'm sure Olde Will did have something there!
