travelling and living in Mexico

I have been here 7 months now...here in Mexico, in different places...My heart and soul will be here forever.. For 7 months I have let the beautiful scenery, vibrant colours,continuous music, and magnificent culture embrace me and bring me to a peace I have ever known. The food is delicious, the people happy, the weather is beautiful ( a iittle hot and humid in summer) snd the architecture is colourful and historic. I also love the love of, and importance of family, and community here in Mexico.Local neighborhoods are usually quite close, and seem to be one large extended family. On Sundays, the beach is such a wonderful place to be. Hundreds of Mexican families, large groups of up to at least 6 family members, gather on the beach to spend the day together, relax, play,swim, eat and laugh and listen to music together. Being able to 'hang out' in a local neighborhood has been one of my favourite experiences. The same families have been living on the same streets for at least 30 years, generations have grown up together and the feeling of closeness is a priviledge to be a part of. One night, yeslef and a couple of friends were invited to a birthday party at the neighborgood. Family paties are huge events here. Huge bbq's are pulled out onthe sidewalks, tables and chairs set out on the street(no need for permis here) it's a celebration! When we there , there were already at least 40 family members (including 4 generations) plus of course the extended of neighbours and friends. We were enthusiastically welcomed and seated to a large selection of delecious mexicana food...until it was impossible to eat another mouthful.The music was loud and moved from traditional Sinaloan, banda, musica romantica, and modern spanish hip hop. People just get and and dance everywhere, and someone is usually dancing, and laughing...The party continued until the very early morning along with the food and festivities. When I finally got to bed, I sank into a contented sleep thinking how nice to experience, a Mexican family/neighborhood/community... And , tomorrow /manyana wil be another beautiful day in Mexico :)
