Would you help your child start their own business?

I have been having so much fun teaching my 7 year old how to work her own business. There is a perfect one to get your kids started with. They are free to join and have no fees. Plus you can choose to keep your info private so no one would receive your child's info. So after I helped my daughter sign up, I took her to Vista Print where you can get 250 business cards for free. She designed them herself and she named her mall all by herself too. If you are interested in teaching your child about business with a safe company click my profile and click on My Power Mall. Best Wishes, Alicia

Yes, I will. Nowadays business is better than working for someone or some company. If the family business is doing well, I have no heistation in encouraging my son to take up that, improve it further, infuse new blood and have a good growth in it

It is most important that when the profits are $100, one should spend less than 50% of the net profit on personal expenses. The balance should be ploughed back into business or should be invested in mutual fund or some other money earning and less risky investments.

Thanks for the advice. I will teach her to put some of the money back in to her business, but most of it I want her to save for college and a car.

WOW, I almost think you work for Vista Print! Great answer and I really appreciate you taking the time to post here. I do feel it is important for parents to teach their kids all aspects of life while they are still in the home and mistakes won't hurt them so much! Alicia

What a good idea. Too many kids these days have no concept of working or business at all. Starting young is a great way to teach them.

Thanks and I agree. Kids are leaving home for college with no concept of working hard to earn a dollar. Plus they don't know how to handle the money they earn and often times have nothing to show for their work.
