I am closer to my mom by far... We are like sisters and friends. My dad passed away in 1992. I have a wonderful step-dad though.

I sat over this question for a while. And it seems a strange one for me. As a teen, i was never close to my mum, we really didn't get on at all. Though we never really argued, we just didn't have that bond mothers and daughters should have. In fact i moved out when I was 15. I was always seen to be a daddys girl though. Which I never quite understood, I never tagged along with him, though I suppose he was there if ever I needed anything. Then 5 years ago, we all thought my mum was going mad and we nearly had her sectioned at one point because she was convinced my dad was having an affair. She would do some very strange things. Any way we were all convinced she was wrong. I had my dad come live with me and low and behold, I caught him, he left and I had to tell my mum. 6 years down the line, mum and dad are no longer togther, though I see them both, My dad everyday and my mum every other. I love my dad and he would still do anything for me, I have lost that complete blinding trust in him which is a shame, my mum I love dearly and have great fun with, though some where along the way she changed, in some ways for the better cause we are quite close and in some ways for the worst because she can be somewhat selfish and inconsiderate at times. So in answer to your question, both equally i believe but in different ways.
