I have sensitive teeth so i usually brush my teeth 3 times a day or more. I'll get a toothache if i don't. Sometimes i can't even sleep without brushing my teeth. it just feels uncomfortable to me and unclean in my mouth. I always want to have a fresh breath so after brushing i gargle also. I think it is important to make it a habit to brush our teeth at least 3times a day. Do you agree? How about you, how many times do you brush your teeth everyday?

I brush my teeth twice, once when I wake in the morning and once before going to sleep... Sometimes I brush thrice also, but that dosen't happen very often.. It happens when after a hard day's work, I go to sleep early in the afternoon, and I brush my teeth when I wake up in the evening... Otherwise its only two times...

The rule of thumb I follow in about brushing my teeth is, I brush after every meal. But I have heard some dentist say that you can go with one brushing a day as long that brushing is thorough. According to them, brushing your teeth at least once a day for at least 5 minutes, noticing the back of your teeth, your gum line, the back of your molars, your tongue, and the walls of your mouth is sufficient enough. Flossing too must not be forgotten, specially after eating stringy foods.

That could be why your teeth are sensitive. A lot of brushing can cause stripping of your enamel, if you brush your teeth heavily and not using a soft bristle brush. I actually lost enamel at the root of my teeth (Near gum line) due to clenching but dentist said you can do that also just by brushing really hard. Plus a lot of the tooth paste that have whitening agents in them are a lot more abrasive and can cause wear and tear in your enamel.
I have sensitivity issues from using crest Pro Health for a week (Big mistake) and then clenching my teeth at night due to stress. I have to get a night guard but at the same time I have to use a prescription flouride, and mouth rinse to block the nerve holes in my root of my teeth so that I can stay clear of the sensitivity.
Sensodyne is also really good to use.

I normally brush my teeth only once a day although doctors do recommend that one should brush twice a day. Yes i see that my children are brushing twice daily once in the morning and at night before sleep. I think you should try special pastes if your teeth are sensitive like emoform.

I try to brush my teeth after every meal, but sometimes I just can't. On those occassions when I cannot brush my teeth, I chew Trident gum. One thing that I will not skip is flossing. I floss my teeth twice a day. Sometimes I will floss more often. Flossing is just as important as brushing. A lot of bad breath is caused by the stuff stuck between your teeth and that is just gross.

I try to brush my teeth at least twice per day and then use a brush ups in the afternoon after lunch, have you tried the
Colgate with Scope it is really good, it makes your mouth feel really fresh and clean. It's like $2.38 at Wal Mart but worth
every penny of it. Try it and get back to me on this one.

As an absolute minimum I brush my teeth at least once a day, usually when I get up out of bed. Normally I clean my teeth twice a day. I too have sensitive teeth and gums so if I brush them too often they sTart to hurt. And we all know there is nothing more soul destroying than toothache.

I usually brush my teeth twice a day, once in the morning and once at night after my last main meal of the day. In between, I just gargle my mouth after meals. This has been my habit for many years now, and I've not had to deal with bad or sensitive teeth, or bad breath.

Same. At least three times a day. I brush my teeth very first thing in the morning before eating breakfast. Brush again after breakfast, after lunch and after dinner.
Ok, that's four.
