Why do some students keep their studies secret?

Why do some student keep their studies secret? Are you like this that you keep your secret.
I study in a hiden place so that no one will disturb my studies and also i can concentrate the lesson that i study.

in my case i can say that i ont keep my study habits as a secret infact when we are still in college we help each other when preliminary exam, midterm and final exam comes we have a group studies in one of our classmates house we share our ideas, we ask questions and we review so when the exams comes our professor will be glad that we all pass the exam and we feel glad also when all of us got high grades we help each other...
