As I cannot post pictures to my comments yet, I decided to start on a discussion about multi-awarded German DJ Paul van Dyk's 'Time of Our Lives' track. The track is close to my heart because I think it is somewhat inspired by Ecclesiastes 3 of the Old Testament where the first verse goes, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven..." I was thinking, perhaps van Dyk didn't only secretly listen to the forbidden Western radio stations before the fall of the Wall but also secretly read the Bible! It's really a wonder how music can impact our moods or how it can subconsciously influence how we act or think. The genre of trance for which Paul van Dyk is a pioneer, is one such element that can seep into the subliminal state. I am yet to find out about the accuracy of this personal observation but I guess you know what I'm referring to. I am also particularly amazed that van Dyk declared himself anti-drugs in 1998 in his "No E, Pure PvD" project in spite of a large number of drug 'enthusiasts' in the music circuit. Such a bold move, I dare say."...a time to scream, a time for silence; a time for truth against the lies; a time for faith, a time for science there's a time for us to shine."I believe God is patient with all of us because He loves us and has designed a wonderful Plan for each of us to shine way before we were even born. He works in our lives in ways we can never fully understand and when we least expect it, He sends us His loving message sometimes through tracks like "Time of Our Lives" for us to consciously or subconsciously ruminate on and realize, yes, there is a time for everything.
