Is there something that you have done that you feel has or will make a difference in this world. Please share this with us and tell us what it means to you to have made this happen, if other people realize you did it, and how they treat you because of it. Would you do it again? Why or why not?

Our church has taken a mission trip the past four years. My family tries to go on the mission trip each year. This year's was to New Mexico. We worked with a children's home, a food bank and the rescue mission. Yes, I think the work we did touch others lives and may have made a small difference, brought a bit of hope.
But more than what was accomplished during our week of work, is the impression I hope this makes on our children. My hope is that they will learn to always be watchful for how they can help others. I am making a difference in this world, my making a difference in my children.

That is a wonderful story caver1. It sounds like you and your family had a very productive, rewarding experience. I am glad you were able to do that for your children. And you are right, you are making a difference in your children. It is by modeling, not telling, that we teach and influence our children. Keep up the great work. When you give people hope, you give them a reason to live.

I have been blessed by the heavens on my finances at such a young age because my dad earns well so I get to save a lot too from my allowances. And there are several instances where people seek financial help from me. Now, I just don't give it away not because of selfishness but because it's more fulfilling to see people you teach and mentor succeed in life because of the small difference you can make in their life.
