Who's your most down to earth Hollywood star?

We put Hollywood actors and actresses into this pedestal where it "seems" they are just too high to be down to earth and be just like us "normal" earth people. But I know they are just humans and they too can be down to earth and humble themselves in front of their adoring fans. I have never met a real Hollywood star in my life, considering I live in the Philippines my closest encounter with them is only through my telli and the big movie screen. But here is this one huge star I admired a lot; Angelina Jolie. I think she is real, and have genuine heart for those people that weren't so lucky in their circumstances. I wish I can met her in person and wave at her, just that will make me happy and proud to meet such a magnificent woman on and off camera.
Who's your most down to earth Hollywood star? Man or woman, I just like like to know.

Harrison Ford - I bumped into him in town last year (he was filming, not visiting me ha-ha!). He was on his own walking through town like any 'normal person'. When I said 'hello', he smiled and replied. It was obvious that he wanted to be low key, so we went about our business. The point is, he wasn't trying to be high and mighty, he didn't have a staff with him and yet he is one of the great film stars. I respect stars like that.

i live in panama and angelina and brad were here a couple of months ago, they shopped in a mall here , of course they tried their best to keep a low profile , but it`s imposible everybody knows angelina jolie, i had a couple of friends that had a chance to see them and they tell me they took the time to greet people and take pictures with them, that`s pretty down to earth for me !!!!also mel gibson was here on june rumors are that he wanted to buy an island here i don`t know for how many millions!!!!!anyways at the hotel when he check in, the customer service girl ask him if he was mel gibson , he said : last time i check it was still me . whether you love him or hate him, you have to accept he is a classy guy(well except the time he got arrested for DUI ).

I like Mel Gibson Before, But once I've heard about his DUI, I lost all my admirations about him. DUI is the most reckless thing a person can do in the society, who knows how many lives you could change for worse once you hit them by your car because you have no control over your faculties together. Please don't DUI my friend, I trust that you don't, so thanks... Cheers!

My roomie used to work for a large downtown hotel. In fact, the hotel where the actors of most of the movies filmed in Austin stayed. One night the fire alarm went off. The guests were down in the lobby & one short business man was giving her a hard time. Suddenly he found himself surrounded by 3 actors from Lonesome Dove glaring down at him. She said that half the actors that stayed there were total jerks & the other half really nice. And talent had nothing to do with the attitude.

Yes definitely Angelina Jolie! I love her. She is so real and she has the greatest heart I have ever seen! She is really down to earth going to third world places to visit and to help them. I really admire her and I read some articles about her. She is not picky and she doesn't have to be the most glamourous person out there, she is just REAL!

I don't know how the rest of the stars live their ordinary lives. I've heard an anecdote about one actor who was out in a bar one night and a big, muscular guy came and told him he was occupying his seat. Without any question, Chuck Norris moved out of his seat and transfered to another one. This is one very humble act from a really feared actor, don't you think? This is my idea of down to earth. As for Angelina, I do love her on screen and off. I just hope that everything we see and hear about her and her charitable acts are true. Sometimes I don't know what to believe from Hollywood personalities.

I understand why you said we can not fully trust Hollywood actor's intentions with their charities. But we can never really tell, unless we are the person itself, can we? I guess all we have to do is trust these actors that their intentions are genuine. After all, adopting multi racial kids is never an easy job even for Angelina, because all eyes are on her. One single mistake with the kids, we sure can anticipate it in CNN crawlers in a flash. So I guess we can bank from their that they mean business when they say they feel for this poor people.

I remember when Angelina was keeping Billy Bob Thornton's blood in a vial around her neck. Boy she's changed hasn't she. : ) The most grounded star to me would be Sandra Bullock. She shops in regular stores, heck she lives in Texas a lot of the time! I love Texas, but that isn't normally where you find Hollywood stars. She's just very real. And I appreciate that.

I don't really follow Hollywood happenings much. I only see what makes the headlines. The down to earth actresses don't usually make the headlines.
I can only tell you who seems to be down to earth from what I've seen in their acting and maybe an interview here and there. Meg Ryan seemed to be down to earth to me, although at one time, I think I read something about her getting carried away with plastic surgery. I saw some before and after pictures and she looked much better before.
Sandra Bullock, also comes across as down to earth to me. I just don't see a lot about her in the news.
In my opinion, the ones that remain low key are the ones that are probably more down to earth.

Well You can't really judge someone you don't know at all. So it's hard to say who I think the most down to earth hollywood star is.
I love Drew Barrymore. I think she's completely human and a great person. I'd say, with her famous family and her famous history, you'd think that she'd be some big ego'd star and I just never get that impression.
Another person I love... Ed Harris. He reminds me of my dad and he's just.. I mean, when do you hear bad stuff about Ed Harris? I think he's gotta be a great star.
And lastly... I'd say Shia LaBeouf. I love that kid. He's 21 and he had 2 lead role movies out this summer and he knows what he's got to lose by being like a lot of other young celebrities out there and he's not going to risk it. I love that kid!
