Is $100,000 salary mean "wealthy"

Someone recently posted a dating website for wealthy people, defined as people making over $100,000/ year. $100K/year does not sound wealthy to me.100k a year is not exactly wealth, it is probably considered upper middle class now adays.
On the other hand,to someone who doesn't make 1/2 that amount, that's considered wealthy.
However,in fact, someone who is truly 'wealthy' do not have a 'salary',I think!

Your husband's salary is increasing year after year.So you needn't to wait for 25 years to get a billion.ha~~~isn't it?

In the U.S. to have a salary making 100K a year, that isn't unattainable because there are numerous people in this country making that kind of money, notably doctors, lawyers, executives and the like. It can be considered wealth if the person is making the best use of the money to achieve wealth, but to be honest, making that kind of money here doesn't make the person wealthy. I feel it is more as to what his/her assets are. My uncle told me that my cousin who is a doctor makes at least $300,000, and I'm not mad at her, she worked for that. but I don't consider it wealthy, just middle class.

well ok he gets over 40000 (few 1000's) and yes he gets about 3% pay rise a year so it would take him 20 not 25 it is still 10 more years.
