Pure Skill Characters --- Why???

i was just wondering why do people make a pure skill character... do u get some kind of advantage...? why dont u just raise ur not combat skills on ur main...?

Most pure skillers are done with bots. That way they can work on that skill all day long, merchant the stuff they get & not worry much about getting banned. I find any form of pure to be silly.

i have a skiller, his name is mr bot guy... notice the name... i did it just for that reason... people characterize most pure skillers as bots... i am in a clan of people that are all level 10 and lower, mostly level 3... name of clan? dos aka... dynasty of skillers... we are working on a site, but it is a pretty new clan, and the site is going slowly... if you wanna check it out, heres a link. btw, none of us are macroers. http://www.dynastyofskillerz.iwarp.com

Theres a simple reason to why people create pures... If they train only str and attack, (str pure), their combat levels would be lower than people who train str,atk and range right? that means that they would be stronger than people their level who are not pures I'm not sure how to explain but its the only way i can say it.... Hope i helped..

Were talking skillers. As for the Pure combat. They're just to scared to go further into the wildnerness where combat level dosen't matter as to wether or not you can attack someone.

i have a skiller and i made it because i hated combat. it was boring and it took to long to train. so i made a skiller and it is way more fun. also i do macro on it sometimes :p.

whoa u r the first person i come to know who says that the combat in runescape is boring and u actually prefer skilling over that... quite a strange taste :P and u use macroing.. well that is no fun and also shame on you for cheating

i thi8nk that people get skill accounts purely to prove that they can do things without using any kind of fighting. for instance, i have a pure prayer account, i rarely play on it, but when i do i enjoy winding people up with my lvl 43 prayer on a lvl 8 character lol. most people who have pure skillers will eventually use the account normally and fight, but they just want to get all other skills out of the way first. i met a player mod in the fishing guild the other week, he was lvl 3 with 98 fishing, 99 wc, 99 firemaking, 97 farming and many other skills that were way higher than my own. it's about patience and dedication to getting things done that others just can't do without going mad with boredom lol.

I also do not completely understand the whole pure skill thing. Maybe it's because they want people to think that they are weak when really they are strong. My brother has a strength pure account. I see no point when his main is a member account. You would think he would just get all of his levels all the way up and try to compete with players like Zezima.
