Hello zrosemarie and welcome to the fantastic get paid internet community on the WWW.
Hope you make many new friends here and earn big cash whiile doing it. As for the mylot advices you want I'd say that the only thing that really decides how much you can earn is the length and quality of four posts and threads. For example, my response here in your discussion is 5 lines and it will probably give me about 0.8 cent but you can never be sure! Just keep being an active member and post loads and loads every day and you will see improvement :)
In my first 100 posts I almost always wrote responses like "Yeah, thats good" or "I agree", that will make you ZERO cash.

Yeah the short responses and discussions can get
deleted costing us earnings and points as well.

welcome, zrosemarie.
first, post qualified discussions and responses, then when you reach 100 posts, you can get stars. the more stars you get, and the more money you earn per post. the highest stars is 10.
second, you can upload some suitable photos when you start a discussion, then you can get 0.01 from a picture.
last, invite more and more your friends come here. you can get 25% from each active referral.
good luck.

Thank you for your helpful comments - I am not here for the money but to get some online friends who share the same interests as I do.

hello again zrosrmarie, I think the best thing to do in here is just plod along and respond to discussions you find interesting, start a discussion when you have something interesting to say, they say it is good to have about 4 lines to a discussion, but most of all enjoy yourself, as in all these sorts of sites you don't make a fortune so you must enjoy it and once you get to know the nice people in here you will become addicted and want to be here for the fun and the payment is a bonus...

Welcome Rosemary and I really hope that you will enjoy it here
My Advise is be yourself, never be rude or nasty to people if they disagree or you disagree then put it in the nicest way
Start Discussion and respond to Discussions always look after your Friends
Before accepting Friends check them out do not just accept for the sake of having Friends
I have made a lot of good Friends on here and we stick together we help each other we are not just here to make Money we are here to talk and stick together
Never Copy and paste anything
That is all I can think of at the moment Sweetie
I really hope you enjoy it here

be sure to write quality discussions. Do read all the FAQs and guidelines to avoid getting discussions deleted that violate the guidelines. Just send out friends requests to those who you feel would help out as far as interests etc here for a friend. But remember to read the guidelines & FAQs first and foremost. There are links for these at the bottom center of the page.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

One don't pick your best response in the first day it is posted. That looks terrible and many will be discouraged from replying cause it seems you are not giving everyone a chance to respond. I give mine a week then I pick it.
Second and most important, get to know the guidelines and post by them. That way your posts won't get deleted along with all our points that replied to them. The guidelines are at the bottom of the screen in a blue link. Plus the guidelines really tell use how to make the most of our time here.

I give the advice of pace yourself. I went all out at the beginning and burnt out so now I'm not posting at all really. Not many discussions interest me right now either. So pace yourself and limit the amount you post a day. It could help in the long run.
