All over the world we read muslims bombing cities and killing people eventually who are rather 'innocent'. Are they real muslims? Is bombing to kill people some kind of teaching espoused by Quran?
Some Muslims say that such killing is un-islamic. But I have also read Muslim author say that Quran teaches some kind of violence.
What do you say to this whole islamic fundamentalists bombing one cities after another? It would be nice if Muslims themselves clarify on the issue because many such bombings are done in the name of Islam.

There is fundamentalism in all religions, that I agree. However, I think we need to check whether violence is the logical outworking of teaching of the sacred book or it is the followers misusing and misinterpreting the text.
Thanks for the comment anyway.

I am not an expert in Islam..but if you check out the Prophet's history...He actually was a warrior and participated in war against other tribes.
"Muhammad was born in 570 in Mecca to a noble family. Perhaps the greatest moral quandary for us is that Muhammad went to war against the rest of Arabia for purely religious reasons. His visions also included eternal torture for whoever Allah condemned,a morally corrupt scheme".

Thanks for the comment. I wonder how a muslim would respond to that. I think it has been difficult for muslims to defend that. And I also have not read Buddha or Jesus taking swords to fulfill their mission.

read the following quotes from thier quoran and judge for yourself
“When you meet the unbelievers, strike off their heads; then when you have made wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives.” (Quran47.4).
"And when the sacred months are passed, kill those who join other gods with God [i.e. moshrekin.] wherever ye shall find them; and seize them, besiege them, and lay wait for them with every kind of ambush: but if they shall convert, and observe prayer, and pay the obligatory alms, then let them go their way, for God is Gracious, Merciful."(Quran 9:5)
And as for Christians and Jews who rejected him he has this to say:
"Make war upon such of those to whom the Scriptures have been given and believe not in God, or the last day, and who forbid not that which God and His Apostle have forbidden..."( Quran. 9:29)
These are the injunctions of Muhammad’s Gracious and Merciful God. How can a “good Muslim” disobey these explicit “divine” mandates?

a christian believes in Jesus words and he said "in the bible
(Prov.25:21-22
21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
22 In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you. )
(Matt.5:43-48
43 "You have heard that it was said, `Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Hows that for a contrast????

Wow! I am rather surprised to learn this. If the interpretation is correct then Muslims must 'fight and Kill'.
I wonder how a muslim would reply to this kind of interpretation. If they cannot come up with a good interpretion then Islam must be judged as a violent religion. And a religion which promotes violence is not a good religion. It should rather promotes loves.
