Have you ever accidently stepped on a nail before?

It had happened to me when I was 16 years old. Walking along the river side(sand) for fishing with bare foots and stepped on the bent 1 in. long rusty nail. What else!!!, screaming and crying just like a one year old baby calling for feeding bottle....but still fortunate because that particular bent rusty nail didn't pr*cks my left foot's bone. Straight away to the general hospital for medical treatment. I thought everything will be fine enough to me, no...a more terrible moment for me, when the doctor cut that effected part, doing cleaning and added on antiseptics,..fuuuuu yoooooh!!!what a sick I am!!!just like wanted to kick-off the Doctor... I hope this particular event will not happen again in my life, enough is enough and I will ensure to put an extra care next time for not to step-on any sharp object.

I don't remember much, but I know I was probably 6 or 7 and I had some of those jelly shoes on that are back in fashion now. This was about 20 years ago though, anyway by my house there was a storage unit that had a little platform kind've like a stage before you entered that we used to play on. sometimes we acted like we were a singer on stage, we played school there, and different things. you had to climb up just 3 steps so it wasn't very steep. This particularly day, I was just spending energy running up the steps and jumping off the "stage". I did this many times before somehow I jumped right onto a spike kind've like you did. I think it came from the train across the street or something because it was kind've thick. I just remember my sister and my cousin carrying me in the house to my mother and I don't really remember much else after that. I do know that I have a scar on the bottom of my foot still today from that.

I did not step on one I managed to jump on one lol from a lovely Height Yes I needed a Tetanus as the Nail was rusty I was 11 at the time but I certainly have the reminder on my Foot lol as there is Mark where the Nail went through my Foot Yes it hurt believe me lol

Yes I did, and it still hurts to think about it. I did get a tetanus shot, that very same day.

not recently but when i was small yes. i remember that i accidentally stepped on a nail and it was so painful. my parents then took me to the doctor to get it out or something and i was crying like mad. yup, got a tetanus shot as well :)

Sorry to hear you stepped on a nail, I hope it heals up quickly for you! I've done that myself so I know how painful it can be and yep, I got a tetnus shot too, straight in the butt, that hurt something rotten. I've also managed to shoot a nail through my foot (same one that i stepped on the nail with) so now I have two rather nice scars lol.

OUUUUUUUUUUUUCH, that is nasty....I hope you're not in to much pain. I have trod on a nail but it only just pierced my skin, but I still had to get a tetnus shot. I think the most painful was when I put a staple through my finger, I had to rip it out along with half my little finger :(

Several years ago I actually stepped on a roofing tack...great big honking thing! It went through my shoe into my foot securing my shoe to my foot. They couldn't get it out and couldn't get the shoe off. Finally they had to use a pair of pliers to pull it out and I got 3 stitches...and a tetnus shot. I've had numerous tetnus shots from: getting attacked by a cat, getting hit in the head with a cast iron pole, cutting my hands various times, getting animal bites, getting a fishing hook in my hand and foot and re-piercing my ears with a sewing needle. Oh, and carving my initals in my wrist with a railroad spike. Man, I was a terrible teenager LOL AT PEACE WITHIN ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Oh my goodness, how terrible...and painful!! You ask, have I stepped on a nail? Nails, glass, staples,...you name it...I've accidentally stepped on it...But nope, never got tetanus shots for any of my mishaps...as long as a nail isn't rusty it's really not necessary..all I would do is yank out the sucker, and run under water while letting it bleed freely...then put a ton of antibiotic/antibacterial cream on the wound...Healed just fine...wouldn't have minded the pain killers though..LOL

yeah I did when I was younger and all I can remember is that I got several injections before the nail was removed. I also remember the blood spewing all over the place and made me cry even harder than the pain I felt. I was 8 yrs old then.

Lol.. it had happened with me a couple of times and every time i use to think that i will remain careful next time but anyhow or the other i always hit some thing sharp under my foot. and i know how does it pain. ahhh..cant explain:(
