This is my very first discussion and for some reason I wanted my my first one to be about my children.
Last summer my husband and I took the kids bowling. They were fairly good for being little kids. Me on the other hand...not so good! Let's just say that my 5 year old daughter beat me! My first score was a big 36. I didn't do much better in the next game with a 40. My husband thought it was hilarious that I was so bad. In spite of lacking a speck of bowling skill I was having a wonderful time.
My 9 year old son, ever the sensitive child was obviously worried that I might feel bad about losing. He walked over and gave me a big hug and said so sweetly, "Mom, you are doing sooo good!" Sometimes it can be sweet when your child lies to you!Do you have a nice story about your children? I'd love to hear it!

Awww, what a sweet boy you have! :)
I can't think of any stories of my boys (it doesn't help that it's past one in the morning) other than I love it when they come up to me and give a big hug for no reason. :)

One day when my oldest son was young ,I was talking to him about his attutide when i said to him"You have a chip on your shoulder" Not knowing what I was saying to him by that comment he quickly put his hand on his on his shoulder and without messing a beat , he trys to brush a chip off his shoulder. It was so funny when he actullaly thought I meant a real chip,I will never forget it. What makes it even funnier is that when my yougnest son was about the same age {10 yrs} The same exact thing happened when I told him the same thing.

When my youngest son was in kindergarten, he had a wicked crush on his teacher. She really was beautiful - young, tall, blond. He would always talk about Ms. Miller, Ms. Miller. I will never forget that name! One day, I picked him up from school and asked how his day was and he said good and then I asked how Ms. Miller was and he said "Beautiful!" Then he stopped for a minute and said, "But not as beautiful as you. You're way prettier."
That touched me because I knew he was just saying that but the idea that a little kid could be so sensitive to his mother and actually quickly try to make me feel better because he thought he hurt my feelings was cute.
I think he still has a crush on Ms. Miller and he turned 17 today. *sigh* No longer my baby.
