Do you ever dust your light bulbs?

I've noticed lately that I'm getting more eye strain while working on the computer and I'm wondering if my light bulbs are to blame. I've heard that dust can collect on light bulbs and cause them not to burn as brightly. Never tested the theory before. Most times I simply use a light bulb so much that it busts before it gets a chance to collect dust.
Maybe it's time to get out the old dust cloth! So, I was wondering, is there a real need to dust light bulbs? Do you dust your light bulbs? Do you think it's just less hassle to change the bulb than try to maintain it?

I have always found it kinder on the eyes if I don't have other lights on, maybe just one but not so it is shining in my eyes, I don't think you really need a lot of light as the screen is lit up, a lot of lighting makes me feel tired.

I usually dust them about every couple of weeks. It does seem to make a difference in the brightness. Plus, if not dusted it gets all hairy and yukky and just looks gross lol, especially the lamps that are at eye level. Even the lights up in the ceiling fixtures get dusted here, I've noticed especially in the bedroom, that they glow dull and putting on makeup is harder when they're dirty. If they get dusted on a routine basis then they just need a quick whoosh of the feather duster and never need a major cleanup.
