Do you buy a new pair of shoes for each new outfit?

Do you purchase a new pair of shoes to wear with a brand new outfit? Or, do you use the shoes that you already have in your closet? Do you think it's wasteful to purchase new shoes or essential? I wish I could afford to purchase a new pair of shoes every time I bought a new outfit. But, mostly I deal with mix and match outfits, so just a few pairs of shoes work just as well. Perhaps, if I wore less casual clothes or more career outfits then I could justify buying a new pair of shoes to specifically match an outfit. I'd love to have a pair of shoes to match every color in the rainbow. A girl can dream, can't she?

I have tons of shoes but I pretty much wear the same pair all the time. I just love my purple Keds and they seem to match with everything so I mainly just wear those with everything.

I have one pair of shoes...black leather gym shoes. I don't get into the whole shoe thing like alot of women do. I pick a pair that I like and then stay with them. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

For me it is just wasting purchase, how you said.i think I can combinate many of my shoes with other outfit and don't need all the time new one.It is also not only about money , but about place where to put them all the time.My closet is already full of shoes and I don't want any of them put away.

Hrmm... well, I only own one pair of shoes, so I guess it matches every outfit I buy! Because of problems I have with my feet - they are wide and terribly short, a size four in ladies - I can't actually find shoes to fit me. So I dream of wearing all sorts of shoes and matching them with my outfits *dreams* I think I would love to have a pair of shoes to match all my outfits - most of them would be in shades of purple! I believe as long as the shoe is comfortable and you will wear it a significant amount of times during the year it would not be wasteful to purchase. Although I think buying a pair of shoes for each and every outfit that you own would be way too extravegant! I think you should have shoes for casual wear, shoes for outdoor activities, slippers, going out shoes and a pair of absolute favourites... any more would just be for pleasure and luxury as apposed to essential body wear! But on the other hand I say, if you really enjoy buying and wearing beautiful shoes, go ahead and do so and I will turn green with envy and still be wearing my good old faithful boots!

I do not buy shoes just to go with my outfit. I buy shoes for the comfort of my feet, so that I can walk long hours without getting tired. I always wear out my shoes until my fingers can go through the hole. Some of my shoes cost more than a hundred dollars a pair, so I jolly well make them last long.

No i surely dont have the kind of funds to go for a purchase of a seperate set of shoes for each dress. I would love to but my income doesnt permit so. I have around 6 sets of shoes, sandals which are meant for partywear and i match one of them with my dress. Actually sometimes the cost of purchasing a set of shoes is more than the dress itself.

Of course I don’t buy shoes for every outfit. I think its not only a wastage of hard-earned money, its also a waste of time and energy going to the shoe-shop every time I buy a dress. Till accessories its OK, but matching shoes…no way! I have 2/3 pairs of sturdy shoes in different colours like tan, burgundy, brown and these go with most of my work clothes. For fancy occasions when I dress up, I wear fancy decorated open sandals. I have a few pair of these too and that’s all. But yes, a girl can dream but I believe you are intelligent enough to have your feet firmly on the ground.

Absolutely not. I have a couple of shoes and I need to get the outfit buy more shoes? not sir! I just buy shoes and then buy outfits without any relations between.

Nope. I don't like shoe or clothing shopping, so whenever I buy one, I try to avoid buying the other. I have one pair of tennis shoes that I literally wear with everything, because I rarely dress up, and I have a pair of flip flops that I wear with whatever, whenever I want. I just can't understand how women can stand to have so many shoes. I'd love to go without shoes if I could.

If I have a pair of shoes that matches with the new outfit then there is no need for me to purchase a new one. But if it doesn't look good and I have sufficient money then perhaps I would buy a new shoes. I'm pretty lucky to have the same shoe size as my mother that's why we share on most the shoes, she loves shoes that's why I just usually borrow from her =)

Hi there. No way, If I did that, I'd have no room left in my wardrobe... I have shoes that I mix and match to what ever I choose to wear...

I am not so keen on buying new shoes. Usually when I am going to buy the new dress, usually I will think about which of my shoes can match them. I am the opposite behavior in this aspect:)

I love sandals and shoes, I am impulsive sometimes in buying shoes.. but I make sure that most of my shoes can be mix and match to most outfits that I really use and I'm into, As a working mommmy, I have a corporate attire to maintain at the office, so I have closed shoes in boots and heels to match my slacks or skirt.. When I go casual, a jeans with snickers or rubber shoes will do.. :)

sadly, i dont. it would be impractical for me. like you, i settle with mix-matching outfits that can go with my footwears. but i think it cant be help too that i settle myself with what i have, because i find it hard to buy shoes or whatever footwear that i really like. im so picky and im hard to please when it comes to footwears. LOL

No, I don't. I can't afford it really and for most of the case, I buy shoes which could go with almost all my clothes. I don't like to define the outfit in certain ways, I love the mix and match. I think it's more fun for me. Besides, to me, it's really hard to find a comfy pair of shoes, if I ever find them (good-looking too) and I will stick with them until they fall apart.

I love shoes but I dont usually buy new shoes to match with my new outfit. I buy shoes because I like the style and it looks good on feet. and like you I do mix and match and usually I bought a shoes that looks universal so I can wear it with any outfit I have in closet. It's not really essential to have bunch of shoes. Sometimes shoes also get easily damage if you just stock it.
