What do you think of websites that asks for a registration fee?

I've always been fond of surfing the Net and I've come across some sites that are offering home-based jobs. But they do require a one time registration fee for the training materials that they will send to the member.
Now, usually the moment a fee is asked, apprehension and doubt starts surfacing. But as one carefully checks out the site and finds it truly legal and have it checked out by the scam-free zone.
If you're interested in this kind of websites, would you still go for it even if you have to pay a fee?

Thank goodness, I always listen to my instinct. I've been thinking about registering in this site where they are hiring basic home-based typists, for almost 2 months now. I have the money, well, hard earned money, but I just can't make myself to go for it.

I think they will gradually become richer by doing nothing and you will get a lot of useless/outdated information and end up with nothing. Some places only charge a small fee, $10 to $15, but just think if 10,000 people, which is not unrealistic, pay this? There are no fee work at home listings out there, and Im betting they have more useful/updated information for you.
I wouldnt pay for a thing! You dont go into McDonalds and say heres $10 or $29.99 may I apply? I understand they use the excuse that paying the fee will show your interest and seriousness of wanting to work from home, but just like any other job position, there should be no fee involved.

You have a very good point, bayleigh. You have given me a very good reason not to try this. It's too risky and it will definitely mean bye-bye to my hard-earned money. I just hope I do find those sites that doesn't ask for any fee. I really need to find a home-based job as soon as possible.

Nope, I first can't afford any extra fees than the ones I have now, LOL. But mostly, why should I when really most of what they offer, are things you can find for free on the net if you look hard enough. I have a freind that will join these things and it never fails, what she tells me, I go and find on the net. So to me they are not worth the fee they charge.

I haven't come across a site that hires people for home-based work and doesn't ask for a one time fee. Maybe I just need to dig deeper.
Thank you for telling me that. I was starting to think that ALL home-based jobs need a registration fee first. I really need to find one, even the position for a basic typist. I've been a stay at home mom for 4 years now and I need to help my husband augment the family income. ^_^

I'm always skeptical about those kind of sites. I don't think we should have to pay a fee to do a job for them. I feel like they should pay us to do the job and if they want us to work for them they will teach us what to do. I have been burned before so I am just always skeptical of them.

Almost 90% of the sites that I've checked who were promising a very easy home-based job, asks for a fee and then they give a reason why they are asking for it. I feel the same way, too. I mean, you still haven't earned anything, and yet you're expected to spend money on them.

I don't like that. Because I don't know these websites are trustworthy or not. Why I have to pay for the registration fee when I can't have any benefits. Usually I will leave the websites which asks for the registration fee. There are so many websites provide the similar service, and I have many choices and they are free of charge. So I am not willing to pay for it at all.

I guess you're right. It's too risky to fully trust these sites. Once we send them the money, we have no guarantee at all if whatever they say is true.

No,no and NO! After having spent the last three weeks trying to find legitimate 'work from home' offers..and landing on every pay site under the sun, I have discovered one thing..don't pay for work. It's out there, really, and it's free, you may have to take a test or two, but in the end you pay nothing, they pay you, which to my way of thinking is much better. I've also noticed that half or more of the 'pay sites' offer the exact same material, I'm guessing after weeks of searching they also found the free jobs and are now offering to take your money just so you don't have to spend the time searching, me I'd rather waste time than money. I'm looking to earn not spend.

Hi morndove. Like you, I've seen so many of these sites that my eyes were starting to hurt. Whenever I see one that promises so very wonderful things, like earning much and with just a simple work task. But after wanting to know more about the site, lo and behold!you come to the page where they are just asking for a teeny weeny one time fee. Whenever I see that, I immediately leave the site.

hmm... i'm having a second. although i just recently applied for an online date encoder and they did reply to me and told me that i can only join there program after i will pay them through paypal. i have a paypal account but it's account balance is ZERO. lolz. i am not pretty sure if paypal works in the philippines neither. their reason why they are asking for an one time payment is that they are only looking for those serious workers or whatever. i mean, if they are really paying a promising amount, why wouldn't anyone be serious on joining that right? heheh... on the other hand, you'll never know until someone tried it.

Hi ruzzy. That's the scary part. You have to make a big risk of giving them your hard earned money, not knowing if you'll really have the promised job and if you will really earn the way as they had promised too.
PayPal Philippines only works when you want to pay something so it will work with the company you're thinking of joining.
But my brother always told me that when it's online and there's money involved and it's a fee, then I shouldn't trust that site so easily.
