Under our bed, you will find nothing. Well, that is after I've cleaned everything. But mostly, you'll find my son's toys and books and oh, the pillows too!I don't know why but when the pillows goes missing, I just have to look under the bed and there they are!
I always make sure though that I clear out everything that's under the bed, just about everyday. My son can make such a clutter underneath that I have to move the bed sometimes to be able to reach some of his toys.

LOL. I think we should start putting a very long string into our pillows just in case it goes missing again. In that way, we just give a tug and they're back to where they belong.^_^

this is cute.... hmmmm... there are a lot of stuff under my bed. boxes i mean. a boxes of shoes are there, some of my speciall shoes that i wear only on special occasions are under my bed. boxes of cds of the music and artist i love to hear are all there. before i used to have a low bed that only my pair of sleepers can get under, now that i have a higher bed i can put a lot under it, it saves me space.

You can never call it junk when you put so much value in your things. But do be careful in dusting them especially with you having asthma. I don't have asthma but as soon as dust gets flying, I start to sneeze so much that I end up having a runny nose.

You sure have hidden "treasures" under your bed. But I guess it gets a bit difficult when you need to dust them off from time to time. With what my son's doing with the pillows, I've got no choice but to make sure that the dust doesn't accummulate under the bed. We also have a high bed just like yours.

It seems you also have a treasure cove underneath your bed. Especially your late husband's shoes. I wouldn't place them anywhere too. With your granddaughter's savings, it seems your the guardian and protector of her "small bank".

The only thing you will find under our bed is the carpet and the floor. Right now our mattress and box springs are on the floor. Our bed frame is still in storage.

Well, at least you won't have much difficulty trying to clean that space under your bed. I much prefer to keep it that way too. Makes it easier for me to clean it up.

That's a great idea, finding ways to maximize the area. But I guess when it comes to dusting them, things can get pretty challenging for you, caver.

Usually you'll find a dog. He loves to sleep under the bed and takes all his toys and treats under it. But if he's not under there, you'll usually see a bunch of dog toys, some clothes, and some trash, all of which the dog takes under there. He's such a beast.

Ah, you're dog just know that you're there to clean all that mess for him.^_^ But if you're dog gets to include the trash under the bed, well, that's another matter.

Hehehe they'd find some pretty strange stuff lol. I have an underbed 'drawer' with shoe boxes of pictures and memorabilia. Another 'drawer' holds extra makeup, hair curlers and personal stuff like that (there isn't much storage room in the bathroom.) I also have a wicker cat bed...kitty loves to sleep under the bed, and when her bed was out in the open she would never sleep in it, she'd always sleep under the bed. Soooooo, I decided since she liked it so well under there behind the bed skirt, she should have her bed right there. The only other regular findings under there are dust bunnies...mostly from that long-haired kitty lol.

Wow, you've got treasures underneath your bed. I guess your cat prefers to sleep under the bed because she feels secured and safe that you're just there.

Now, that can get irritating. Knowing that you need to clean the space under your bed, but you can't because of the bed's structure.

To be frank...theres absolutely nothing under our bed...actually you can't get under the bed - its has wood which touches the floor beneath!

At least, you won't have to worry about having to clean the space underneath it. Because even if you want to, you just possibly can't.

LOL. That's a good one, doghair tumbleweeds. I've got those too, but outside the house. But I also get an occasional visit from the dust bunnies.

There is nothing under my bed. Not because I'm so neat and organized, but because my back is too bad to have go down there and clean it up if it becomes messy. I don't want to have to clean it out after months of stuffing it with things. So I just keep it clean and clear. Also, it helps me to see if there is a Boogie Man under there. : )

I also don't keep stuffs under the bed because I have to put them all out everytime my son keeps putting his toys with them. Right now, my back is starting to complain.
You're right, having lots of stuffs under the bed will make a great hiding place for the Boogey man.^_^

LOL..you caught me there and I want to be as honest as I can, so here's what you can find under our bed, 2 brown boxes, one has my stuff, art and scrap booking stuff, the other one is a box of pictures I am currently working on. I can also see 1 photoalbum there, I am also working on it,trying to finish my scrapbooking,so it's there under my bed. :)
And,there;s more, 3 small tin cans...which I tend to use to organize small stuff like needles and threads, medicines,etc..

Most of those who responded in this discussion usually have "hidden treasures". I also love scrapbooking but the materials that I use are in another place. I avoid putting things under the bed because I do maintenance cleaning. When the dust gets nasty, I end up in a fit of sneezes.

cleaning under your bed
hi jcj 111776 it is good to clean under your bed because you never know what is under there but this is only a suggestion what my brother does with his kids that he rewards for doing good things when they clean up there room and pick up there toys they know they will get a treat or go to mall to a movie or play video games they do not get an allowance but they do get rewardered for there efforts so now they are more then willing too pick up there toys and clean up after themselves because they know that something good is coming sometimes they dont know what it is and it is surprise i am sure every one likes to feel appreciated and loved and get rewarded so they know that once they do good then good comes to them but if they do bad there is a consequence too so mayberr im not telling you how to raise your child but ive giveing you a suggestion that maybe if you told them they will be rwarded or maybe do a star system get achart and if they get many starts for doing good things they get rewarded but if they do bad things they get stars taken away just an idead you can tell me what you think!!!!!!!

hello again. I'm ok with your suggestion. Actually, I already taught my son to pick up his toys when he's finished playing with them. Being a 4 year old, he tends to cry for being asked to do a chore. But he does pick up his toys.

I wonder why? Maybe if there are stuffs under the bed and it accummulates dust, then it's perfectly obvious it will cause bad sleep. Because it will be difficult to breathe normally with all the dust one can inhale. ^_^ Hey, pls. no offense to those who does have stuffs under their beds and just doesn't have the time to clean it up. Because I don't have stuffs under our bed, but I still can't keep up sometimes with the maintenance cleaning.

Bala, are you sure your bed is still on the floor?^_^ If you've got stuffs under the bed over a period of ten years, I'm thinking that your bed has already risen a few inches off the floor because you've got so many things underneath.

Nothing, I do not keep anything under my bed. Having things under my bed gives me nightmares.

That too, I do not want any incriminating evidence under my bed. My step-father is the kind of person who likes to get into anything and everything, so that is another reason I do not keep anything under my bed.

that's a wise move. You can never be too careful. Especially if your stepdad does something like that.

If you were to look under my bed you would see straight through because their is nothing under it. My hubby used to put crap under the bed, and it really bugged me so I moved it all! Have a good day!

We have a king-size mattress on a platform... because we both have back injuries, it makes it higher and easier to get into. The platform is enclosed with beadboard so it looks good, and inside are our holiday decorations.
Its supposed to be bad fung shui to put things there, but those are things we enjoy, so we sleep well!

If we have bedboard like yours, I'll definitely put things in there, too. My aunt is one who's a firm believer in fung shui. She had renovated her bedroom countless times, and even changed beds.

My bed is made so not much can get under it. Maybe something of a size of a pen:P So I mostly find there pencils, sheets of paper (why? where are they from? I have no idea._.), batteries and a lot of dust:P Honestly, I don't move my bed too pften because it's big and my room is not so it wolud need a lot of work to do so.

lol! I know what you mean about not having enough room to move the bed. Fortunately, our bed has a big space underneath so if I don't have the strength to pull it so I can sweep the floor underneath, I just reach out and hope that I have swept most of the dust.

hi magiel. I also like a clean room and that includes the area under the bed. Makes it much easier for me to clean the area.
