I have an old bible that I believe is St. James version. It has a leather binding(black in colour) and has HOLY BIBLE; REFERENCES on the spine. At the bottom of the spine it says Photographs. There are numerous pictures inside. There is a brass clasp on the bible to hold it closed. I can't find a publication date anywhere in it, but on the New Testament first page it says Cambridge: printed by C.J. Clay, at the University Press. Inside the front it says presented to *** ****** on her birthday: May 1st, 1897. I just wondered if anybody can help me to figure out a publishing date or anything about it. Thanks.

Have you tried looking online? Maybe you can do a search or something and find out. Where did you even get a bible that old from? You also might be able to take it to somewhere near where you live and they might be able to help you find out. Good luck and let me know if you find anything out.
