Twice, once as a single woman and once with a male partner. I loved Beijing for all the active, busy streets and people most, but also visited Suzhou, Xi'an, Qindao, Ninjing, and Shanghai, another gorgeous city.

I've been to Shanghai and Xi'an. Loved it. Especially the food - the dumplings (xiao long bao and jiao zi) were excellent.

chinese food, what is chinese food? actually there is no such a term as chinese food because even in china the food styles varies so much from one city to another. generally speaking, food in the east part is a bit sweet, food in north part salty, food in west part spicy honestly i don't like dumplings too much

it's hard to describe what china looks like using a few lines because it's so huge with such a large population. but i am sure you will be amazed by what you see when you are in china. You may contact me before you visit china. I can be your free guide when you are in Suzhou if you like.

I just got back from China stayed there at Beijing for 1 week. It was really nice. But it was hard going places there coz only a few people understand English and street names were really hard to pronounce. We're lucky that we have a friend there who helped us going places by talking with the taxi cab drivers to drive us to where we want to go. But it was ultra nice..Hope I could go back there soon..

a lot cities worth visiting. Beijing would be the first choice for most people coz it's the capital. Shanghai is a modern city that reprensents china's future. and xi'an, an old city, had been the capital city for many dynasties in china's history, shows you what china looked like in the past.

"Dragon Well" Teahouse - We stopped here to try a green tea exclusively grown in the mountains around Hangzhou. It is called Dragon Well Tea in English, also known as Emporer's Tea, because of a great emporer that demanded it fresh every year. Definitely some of the best green tea I've ever had.
I have been to China. I went last summer to teach English. I spent time in Shanghai, Beijing, and Hanzhou. They are all amazing cities.

you know there has been a chinese saying goes like this, on heaven, there is paradise; on the earth, there are Suzhou and Hangzhou. Suzhou, my hometown, is very close to hangzhou. It's a pity that you missed suzhou in your china tour lol

We may have driven through on the way to another place, but we didn't actually stay in your hometown. I do want to return to Hangzhou, so maybe then :) I forgot to mention that I spent some time up in Yellow Mountain (sorry, I don't know it's Chinese name) It was lovely.

I traveled twice in China. Been to the southwest, west, north and the east-cost. I didn’t plan my trip. Bought a lonely planet in Bangkok and went to china. And I had 3 really good months in china with the help of the LP. LP help me, maybe it can help you too. Try it!
